Housh: Ocho 'crying' to get out of Cincinnati

Chad Johnson still desperately wants to get out of Cincinnati, according to former teammate T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

"Chad Johnson called me today. Crying. He wonders why everyone can get traded but him," Housh said Friday on NFL Network. Going back to Carl Pickens, Corey Dillon, and Takeo Spikes, the Bengals have a staunch tradition of their best players crying to get out of the rabbit hole. Apr. 20 - 9:58 am et

Report: Titans not out of Torry Holt derby

SI's Peter King warns that the Titans are not out of "the Torry Holt derby."

Holt was said to be finalizing a deal with the Jags over the weekend, so the Titans would have to swoop in with an offer at the last minute. Their interest in Holt has been steady, but they're also leery of overpaying. Apr. 20 - 10:02 am et

Eagles president: Boldin still an option

Eagles president Joe Banner wouldn't rule out trying to acquire Anquan Boldin despite having just given up one first-round pick for Jason Peters.

"There are teams that start the year with only one first-round draft pick and they've traded them," Banner said. "If we made another trade with a first-round draft pick, we'd just be in the same position as them." Head coach Andy Reid and GM Tom Heckert have downplayed the team's need for a superstar wide receiver. Apr. 20 - 8:31 am et

I'd love to see Holt in Nashville. He'd be a great fit for them - an experienced top-flight receiver who may not be as good as he once was. The Titans offense doesn't need a superstar WR, but they would definitely benefit from the addition of a guy of Holt's skill level. Additionally, I think offering the #30 for Boldin would be a great move for Tennessee.

I think CJ is reaping what he planted. Too many teams see him (rightfully) as a good-not-great WR and all his drama has turned people off big time.

His drama? I think he's widely regarded as a clown but the Bengals as a franchise are a joke. I don't put a huge amount of stock into the team cancer label if they're coming from the Raiders, Bengals, or a couple other teams. I think it has more to do with the Bengals not wanting to trade him then teams not wanting Chad on their roster.

I think it would take much more than #30 for Boldin... I'd say a 1st and 2nd, along with another pick or player. The #30 pick doesn't have THAT much value

I don't need to hear it from the Bengals to know that he's a horrible distraction to that team. I see it with my own two eyes and ears.

I don't know about that. Ya, there's no arguing that the Bengals franchise is not top notch but CJ hasn't helped himself with is antics and consistently putting himself ahead of the team.

It didn't work out so well for Eric Moulds when he went to Tenessee. I'm not saying that Moulds was as gifted as Holt, but he had several great years in Buffalo before age caught up to him.

Isn't Tennessee the black hole for WRs?

not as bad as Oakland or Atlanta used to be, but it's got to be a solid 3rd.

He's been more then good, one of the best WR's in the league over the past 6 years and that's really not debatable. Offhand i'd say there are less then 3 WR's in the NFL who outperformed him from 2002-2008. Last year his situation was horrible, i don't think it was due to his skills deteriorating.2002 - 1166 yards/5 TD's

2003 - 1355 yards/10 TD's

2004 - 1274 yards/9 TD's

2005 - 1432 yards/9 TD's

2006 - 1369 yards/7 TD's

2007 - 1440 yards/8 TD's

2008 - 540 yards/4 TD's

His run from 2002 - 2007 is historically one of the best runs for a WR over a 6 year period. No non-elite WR's have ever had a run like that and history shows that elite WR's can play well into their mid-30's, so i think your underselling CJ short on talent, although i do agree with you on his attitude issues.

You mean solid 2nd. Atlanta has Matt Ryan and I feel good about his future.
