Three great games and we still have Buffalo @ Kansas City to go.
My cousin has been sayin that for years. I used to think he was crazy. The scriptwriting was excellent this week.
good gigAt $63.9M his salary would be 6th if compared with the highest paid CEOs in the S&P 500
Good call !Three great games and we still have Buffalo @ Kansas City to go.
Not leaving themselves much room for the remaining gamesThe scriptwriting was excellent this week.
Divisional round week games are almost always better than the conference championshipsNot leaving themselves much room for the remaining games
What? His bosses are the owners of the league. His sole responsibility is to them. And he does very very good job at what he is paid to do. If you don't like his job responsibilites thats on you, but it's irrelevant to his bosses, who are the ones who decide to pay him that much.Dude is a scumbag. No idea why he is even paid the way he is but most his salary should be redistributed to player healthcare and taking care of them

Holy crap. How in the world did he manage that? I'm pretty sure a donkey could succeed running the NFL.BobbyLayne said:At $63.9M his salary would be 6th if compared with the highest paid CEOs in the S&P 500
Only 63.9? We should all chip in to get him up to an even 64.BobbyLayne said:At $63.9M his salary would be 6th if compared with the highest paid CEOs in the S&P 500

There was an uproar in early 2015 when it was revealed his compensation for 2013 was $35M (Google “roger goodell $35M” for a slew of articles.) It was disclosed on the NFL’s tax return, which at that time was publicly released each year.Holy crap. How in the world did he manage that? Somewhere in the end of that story where Goodell made $127M, some of that also has to do with Los Angeles now cementing 2 teams playing there although i don't think the Chargers will make it there long term, especially if the Rams win the Super Bowl in SoFi this year, that Stadium will never be home to the Chargers or feel like their house. There was an uproar in early 2015 when it was revealed his compensation for 2013 was $35M (Google “roger goodell $35M” for a slew of articles.) It was disclosed on the NFL’s tax return, which at that time was publicly released each year.
Two months later it was announced the NFL was voluntarily relinquishing its tax-exempt status. One outcome of that decision is a change in disclosure requirements. The NFL has not released their tax return or Goodell’s salary since 2015.
As reported by The NY Times, a slide was presented at the owners meeting last October which revealed Goodell earned $63,900,050 per year in each of the past two years, which means his pay was $127.8 million for fiscal years 2019-20 and 2020-21.
One note about Goodell's pay is that it's mostly made up of bonuses with more than 90% of his earnings coming from bonus money. His pay was extra high over the past two years because he helped the NFL pull off two monstrous negotiations that helped cement the future of the league. First, he got a new CBA signed in March 2020. One year later, he lined the NFL's pockets by getting the networks to agree to a new media deal that will pay out a total of $113 billion between now and 2033.
Niners v Chiefs Super Bowl?Conference Championships going to be blow outs. Double digit wins in both conferences.
