Songs the lyrics ruin. (1 Viewer)

While listening to Green Day's ¡Uno! Album, I found myself singing along with "kill the DJ" despite the lyrics being pretty bad and definitely not appropriate for kids.  Not the filthiest ever but not good.  I'll add it to my workout mix.

Then there's locked out of heaven by Bruno mars. Good tune, good beat, kids love it but again, not good.

What songs do you despise the lyrics but enjoy the music?  I'm sure there are better examples.

Wes Borland is certifiable, but he writes some outstanding music. The problem is his singer that made him a lot of money may be the worst thing to ever happen to music. You could cite a laundry list of songs that'd fit, but Couterfeit sticks out.

Disagree. If you want to go for a poor lyric song you goto Nookie. Leave counterfeit alone.

Brown sugar.

With just a few lyrical tweaks, it could be an awesome song about sexy black women (which is probably what lots of people still think it is) but instead it's a brutal song about slavery.
