Sorgi injured.... (1 Viewer)

Watching the game now, apperntly he was injured in the first half, an injury to his arm. All I have now is just the announcers talking.

Being in a 16 team dynasty w/IDP and 45 man rosters I cuff my Starting QB (P. Manning) and RB (Portis), if possible. I know Sorgi/King (I have Sorgi not King, yet) wouldnt be rostered by anyone else, but if Manning were to go down, the replacement would not make it down to me on the WW.

If I were in a non IDP redraft league with smaller rosters, I doubt I would cuff Manning.

I've had Peyton since he was a rookie, and have never had his backup. He doesn't miss games. You just need someone for his bye week, and possible week 16-17 sitout.

Colts homer here. Sorgi has had "dead arm" for like 4 months and hasnt thrown well at all. King has looked pretty good. Sorgi has looked so bad IMO he should be cut. Better options out there.

Do you handcuff Peyton Manning?
Laugh if you want, last year I picked up Schaub to back up Vick and that worked very well.So laugh on
I think that's a little different. Vick gets injured ALL THE TIME. Manning hasn't missed a start in his entire career. Do you handcuff manning? No, wasted pick that will get you nothing.
Also, Schaub is a better QB than King. Given the durability of Manning and the expected mediocrity of King as a long-term replacement, I don't think it's worth the roster spot. To some extent, it depends on the league. I'd rather invest in other players, or if you prefer, take a shot on a young QB who is a first-time starter.
