Colts | Sorgi says he is fine

Published Sun Jul 30 10:27:00 p.m. ET 2006

(KFFL) John Oehser, of Colts.com, reports Indianapolis Colts QB Jim Sorgi (shoulder) said he is fine and expects to participate in drills this week. "I've been throwing a little bit the last couple of weeks. Knock on wood - no pain, no nothing. I'm going to get out there and wing it around - just see how it feels."

I thought this was reasonably big news. If something happened to PM, I doubt King would be the answer and a shoulder injury is a huge deal

If something happened to Manning (ie out for more than a game or so), the Colts are screwed. ie both Sorgi and King suck. It won't really matter which plays. Because of this I have hated for years how the Colts have ignored the backup QB role, esp. being old enough to remember a very similar situation w/the 70s Colts and Bert Jones....

just for BigRed:

Colts | Sorgi fully cleared

Published Mon Jul 31 12:46:00 a.m. ET 2006

(KFFL) Tom James, of the Terre Haute (Ind.) Tribune-Star, reports Indianapolis Colts QB Jim Sorgi (shoulder) has been fully cleared to practice at training camp. He should be able to participate in two-a-day workouts

:sadbanana: I'll never forget that monday night game I went to at RayJay vs the Rams. King leading the Bucs to that amazing 4th quarter comeback and Faulk scored 4 TDs.

Kid had a lot of potential.
