SP Mock Invitational--5th round? Uh huh....5th round...... (1 Viewer)

The Bucs would be happy to move back to the 13-16 area for the price of a second round pick.  They would also give up the 9 and Mike Glennon for the 20 and Muhammad Wilkerson.

I understand life happens, and most of us have work/family responsibilities.

...but if it's your turn, and you are available, please just make your pick.

Out of meeting.  Sorry to take an hour.

1.07 SF selects the best defender in college last year, DE Joey Bosa.

1.08 - CLEVELAND BROWNS: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame

A single nut hair below Tunsil in terms of talent... Browns have a star in the final 2-3yrs of his career at LT, and need line help to keep RG3 on his feet and to help the running game flow. Play him at RT until Joe Thomas moves on, and then insta-slot at LT

RG3 will have tons of time to find Gordon open downfield, upon his reinstatment in late August, and the Crowell will be busting through holes bigger than Steven Tyler's yap

Game on. Robbery for the Browns.

Falcons' GM has to hit the sack early.

I'll be back on around noon EST tomorrow.

McShay is predicting Tunsil falls below Stanley.

And that prediction was BEFORE Soulfly3 took him, which can only enhance his draft stock.

FYI this weekend will be very busy for me. Can't promise a prompt pick which is why I tried to see if anyone else wanted the Jets. I'll do my best but if it holds things up feel free to move along.

Tampa Bay is on the clock and their O-Line is a shambles.

I would think they have to take Conklin after investing top ten picks on offensive skill positions the last two drafts where a blindside protector would maximize the values of WR Mike Evans and protect the franchise QB Jamies Winston who took a beating last year.

I like how the Saints are going after 2nd round picks for moving down when I sort of set the market at a 4th round pick.

I did need a 3rd round pick to drop down to pick 30 with the Panthers, Some are asking too much imo.

tampa drafted Donovan Smith and Ali Marpet last year in the second round. Both were starters. They signed Sweezy to replace Mankins and Have Hawley and Dotson. One of their strengths is the line.

I do think they could be interested in Stanley if he makes it to 9 as Dotson is in the last year of his deal.

I confess the last time I heard the Bucs O-line it was a shambles.  During last season, the rookies were struggling and there were all sorts of injury issues and they were scrambling to find anyone to start.  I didn't follow up on where they stood at the end of the year.  Felt it was still a major need as it was reported during the season last year.

Actually, the Rams and the Eagles set the price. I'm not sure what your trade was but if you moved down in the first and only got a 4th in return then you sold for pennies on the dollar.

Just my two cents :D

Not according to the trade chart.

The trade chart has much higher differences in values of picks earlier in the 1st round than at pick 23. So I suppose that could be why.

According to the chart pick 7 is worth 22.2 or 1500 points.

Pick 12 is worth 18.8 or 1200 points. So a difference of 3,4 or 300 points.

Pick 60 is worth 8.5 or 300 points. So about twice as much as the difference in value by Chases chart and about right using the JJ chart.

If you combine the trade chart values by multiplying them together then dividing by two you would be asking a 3rd round pick not a second.

I don't blame the 49ers for trying. That just seems a bit rich to me as I lean more towards the Chase side of the chart than the JJ.

The only thing the Rams and Eagles set the price for was "moving up to get a potential franchise QB". If NFL teams think they can use that as the benchmark for typical Day 1 trades, there's gonna be a whole lot of nothing going on besides draft picks next Thursday.

Aside from everyone hating Eze E I am starting to feel that massraider is doing his April fools late in the month here. I did not realize this was a mock draft where the participants pretend they will make draft picks but do not actually make them. This is a mockery.

I assure those who are responsible will get away with no following repercussions and one of you poor saps (or me) will get blamed for it.

So I leave you this music to muse over what you have gotten yourselves into here.
