Wow does this take you back in time! Whats this say for Niko Koutouvides, when a FB starts ahead of you. To be fair, Larsen played LB at Arizona. I hear he played pretty good, he was 6-1-0 and the 3rd leading tackler. :lmao:

I thought he was drafted with the intent at playing LB, but went to playing FB with the large amount of injuries in Denver's backfield. What kind of drills is he doing during practice i wonder.

he certainly was drafted with the intent to be a LB, however after he was drafted at the 2nd day press conference coach said that he felt he had FB skills and with the injuries in the backfield Shanny gave him a shot. was known as the heart and soul of the Arizona defense, and was a consistent run stuffer. the word throwback is tossed around from time to time, but Larsen is truly a throwback player.he made a name for himself on special teams, coach even commented that he hit harder than anyone he'd ever seen on special teams.high motor player that loves to mix it up. good side to side speed and closing burst, but plays very aggressively which leads to overrunning plays. smaller player that can get washed out of a play. SOUND tackler, once his hands are on you it's over. Always around the ball.Koutouvides was :fishing: in training camp, and is still painfully average today. Amazing to me that Larsen has to learn both gameplans/assignments. He and Wesley Woodyard make for a nice, young LB duo for the future. I also like the fire that Jamie Winborn is playing with. I wish he would stop celebrating after EVERY PLAY, but it's that type of enthusiasm that has spread throughout the Broncos defense in recent weeks. Imagine what they'll be like if they keep playing this way when DJ and Champ are back.

once webster and DJ comeback who else starts(if they get healthy)? jamie was starting already inplace of boss.
Hard to say. For now, I'd expect Webster and Williams to start in their usual roles, with Woodyard coming off the bench. I doubt Winborn goes to the bench or Williams or Woodyard get moved from their current role. Larsen and Woodyard could make it a pretty tough decision though.

You gotta watch these high energy, motor always runs type of players, sometimes they get an opportunity and never look back. Larsen has good intangibles. He was an unknown commodity last week, give OCs time to break him down and exploit his shortcomings and then we'll see what he is. I'm a big fan of these type of players, hope he sticks. :coffee:

going to take a flyer on him in my dynasty league, seemed to be all over the place last thursday.

I wasn't very impressed by him in the game this week. He was washed out of most plays and Woodyard seemed to be much quicker to the ball.
