So, now that quantum teleportation is proven to exist and humanity is able to utilize it (albeit only over 10 feet so far)... how long until it powers ALL of our computers? I'll set the over/under at 16 years.
How long until we can teleport people great distances, making all current forms of travel obsolete, crashing the airline/shipping/auto/oil industries which will in turn put the global economy into a tailspin causing mass starvation and nuclear waste?

I don't think you can use quantum teleportation to teleport objects... just information. Its got to do with the quantum entanglement of electrons. For example, if you tweak the spin of an electron in place A, the electron its entangled with in place B alters its spin immediately.
I'm not a physicist, I'm sure someone else can explain it better. But my understanding here is that they can use this to work as the 1s and 0s of binary to do complex computations incredibly faster than we do right now.
