Sports Radio: Washington interested in Sanchez (1 Viewer)

Just passing along what I heard on 680 the Fan this morning on the way to work. No link sorry...

I hope Jason Campbell can go to a down the field passing offense so he can show off his skills. Instead of the stupid dink and drunk crap the hardly qualified Jim Zorn wants to run.

What a joke. Id rather have Campbell in a real offense than Zorn with Sanchez running his offfense.

Id be annoyed with the whole situation if I were a Redskins fan

I think it will be difficult for the Skins to pull this off without a 2nd round pick to offer up. Unless they are going to give up a 1st in 2010 to go with this year's 1.

If anyone can pull it off Dan Snyder can.If he's that much enamored with Sanchez and has little faith in Campbell he'll find a way to move from 13 to 3 and nab Sanchez ahead of Seattle, where many have Sanchez going. His 13th pick will probably be boosted by a late 2009 pick and he may have to give up his 2010 first round pick to move up that far. I think Pioli will move out of the 3rd spot and get more picks as the Chiefs need a lot. Snyder's as good a bet as anyone to pay too much and jump up and get Sanchez. He's been known to try and buy championships but it hasn't qite worked out for him just yet and it won't this year even if he gets Sanchez.

While I don't disagree with the overall gist of your comments, it's a little unfair to pigeonhole Sanchez as a dink and dunker. He ran a pro style offense at USC and his arm is not bad. He can make all the NFL throws.

I was saying Zorn's offense is a dink and dunker. Sanchez is probably better for that kind of offense than Campbell. I just hate the offense.

Welcome to the Washington Redksins Show, with our stars of the show...D@uchebag Danny and his sidekick Clueless Vinny. Special guest stars for the season, Princess Portis, Dirty Sanchez, and Lovegut Haynesworth.

God I hate being a Skins fan. :lmao: The Lions are run better.

A link to a blog "confirms" a pre-draft rumor? Maybe they're enamored with Sanchez, and maybe so much so that they'd want to trade up, but this could just as easily be a smoke screen or what amounts to pre-draft unrequited love.

Everyone celebrating or regretting this story needs to settle down. Once again, my conclusion that you shouldn't trust any pre-draft reports about teams' intentions is simply undeniably good policy

If campbell was any good, he could do both. Hint: H'es not. Best move the skins could do is get anyone else.

Sanchez Situation Getting Interesting

Posted by Mike Florio on April 23, 2009, 12:02 p.m.

At a time when much of the focus falls on the question of when and if the Lions will do a deal with Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford as the No. 1 overall pick, the other big-name quarterback is continuing to stir things up.

According to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN, intrigue is developing surrounding USC quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Several teams are involved — the Seahawks, Browns, Redskins, and Jets, for starters.

One scenario involves the Redskins moving from No. 12 13 to No. 4 (a spot held by Seattle), drafting Sanchez, and then trading Jason Campbell to the Vikings, Bucs, or Jets.

The Browns also are supposedly interested in taking Sanchez at No. 5 and trading Brady Quinn, to the Bucs or the Jets.

Per Paolantonio, the Jets are the team most interested in Quinn. But the Jets also are inclined to try to beat the ‘Skins to Sanchez.

If Sanchez is on the board after pick No. 5, we’ve been told that the action is likely at No. 8, with the Jags trading down with the Redskins or the Jets.

Come on JETS!

if the Skins are really interested in trading up, it might explain the sudden supposed infatuation the Browns have with Sanchez.

Neither the Jets or Skins or any team needing a QB wants to hold their nose while blurting out 'Josh Freeman'.
