Sportsline down? (1 Viewer)

Won't even load for me. Had live scoring up, then got mesg in Firefox about flash not loading, tried to go back to homepage after Lynch's TD, can't get site to load at all since

I take it back. It's down for me too, but the GameTracker window I have open is still tracking the scores and the game. Chat room is down though.

You pay for the site and they have problems every week 1!

AND THEY LOAD THE SITE UP WITH ADS!!!! UGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Any site that you pay for should not have ads. We need congress to make some type of law for this!!!

It's amazing to me that a site that charges 179.99 for a commish service is busy enough to crash in the first place.

Also amazing that anyone would even consider that fee.

Every damn year. They rake in $150 a league and just put it in the money bin. No ####### investment into site infrastructure at all.

So glad we left.

I know... My league's commish is damn stubborn. Ugh. I've been begging to change for years.

I left there 10 years ago (only spent 3 years with them) once yahoo become more customizable. Still a few options I would like to have that they don't support, but nothing major to justify spending any money on a site to host my leagues.

Been asking our commish to leave for years. They charge 180 and are the worst. There draft site caused issues with our online draft. There scoring do set always work, absolutely the worst.and all those adds for a site you pay a fortune.

I've got two leagues that use cbs. The site will freeze if I try to have two different tabs open with both leagues and I'll time out at least twice when trying to switch back and forth.

Changed to MFL last year. #### interface on MFL, but highly customizable.

CBS emails me and offers $89.99 price to come back, so I did because their interface is a lot better.

Maybe I should have stayed with MFL...

In the same boat. However, both Yahoo & ESPN have their limitations as well. And while I have leagues in all 3; i still prefer cbs when working...the when working part seems to be less frequent though.

Other than the big 3, is there another site that is better? I would love to move my league(s) to somewhere else, but honestly don't see others as much better.

Agree with this. I really don't think the cost is that big of a deal when its spread out amongst the whole league. And their live scoring is second to none. MFL always looked like something from a decade long past, personally...very amateurish. Reminds me of playing a computer game on my old Apple back when I was a kid.

As you said, when functioning properly, CBS is my preference as well. Of course, that's predicated on it actually functioning...argh. I don't really know of any others. I've heard Fleaflicker is good for dynasty but I've never tried it out.

Was up but now CBS completely down. NFL.com while not used by a lot of leagues has been money for me. 3 years and I can't remember any issues. So far nfl.com is my favorite.

ESPN just now:

To our Fantasy Football players
Don't worry, you're not locked out. For the next few weeks, we'll be performing some routine maintenance and game improvements so that you can be locked-in for domination as soon as the games kick off. We appreciate your patience during this brief update period. Please check back in late May and we'll be up and running. And remember, as soon as their season begins, your season begins.

ESPN a mess at the moment
It's incredible. This isn't MFL, where all they do is fantasy leagues. I imagine cbs.com and espn.com get a few more visitors than their fantasy league sites. It's not like these companies only have one hamster.

They need a bigger cage but this fantasy sport thing is new. Give em another 12 or 14 years they'll iron out some of the wrinkles.

Is anybody else's sportsline page sitting there spinning (the center part)? Also seems that you can't change lineups, can't view player stats, etc. Pretty sure they have the dumbest web programmers $ can buy.

Seems the live scoring page is totally messed up too.

I moved my fantasy football and fantasy basketball leagues to Fleaflicker after reading on these forums, I think from Greg Russell and Adam Harstad (forgive me if I'm getting his last name wrong) particularly, the benefits of Fleaflicker. I was convinced after reading their opinions and at least one of them had been using Fleaflicker for a long time.

So far, through Week 1, weekly waivers went well, we've had no issues and the site hasn't been down once. That said, I never ran into issues with Yahoo or ESPN, personally, it was just that Fleaflicker has a lot more customization for commissioners.

ahh the annual hate on cbs thread. what's with you people and CBS? it works great for me and has for many years. LOL at fly by night operation comment on the OP, I'm pretty sure they were one of the first if not the first major vendor online with fantasy football. i miss those days when it was free and yes it is expensive. but no, yahoo is not better though it being free definitely give them a leg up on that comparison.

our league tried MFL a couple of years ago and they completely screwed up the auction draft. I also think the menus are terrible and UI skins are dressing on a pig. Other than that, it's great - in season user experience is fine once you get used to the GUI and it can't be beat for customization - even CBS still doesn't allow for multiple waiver methods like MFL (FAAB and then first come, first serve FA waivers) , or different team auction dollar amounts to start the draft.

Our league eventually voted to go back to CBS and pay the money - primarily because of the auction draft fiasco.

I've used Yahoo, ESPN, AntSports and I think CBS has the best UI - but the price is definitely high. I'd be curious to check out flea-flicker though.

Been using CBS since 2000 and it's become more customizable over the last few years. Yeah it's expensive but it has served my league well.

Are there sites that even cost 1/2 as much as CBS does? I'd question the leaders of any league that pays that kind of money for that place.
