SPOTIFY USERS : Get Denon Heos 3 Speaker for $99 (reg $299) (1 Viewer)

If I already have a sound bar that has Bluetooth why would I need one of these?

What's Spotify? I want one.
Spotify is a subscription based music screaming service. Basically access to 95% of music ever recorded for $9/mo... with ability to create playlists, listen offline, share playlists, etc. Can listen for free too with ads.

MAY be able to buy the denon speaker without being a member... can't hurt to try.
Worst case, you join for a month and pay the $9. Doesn't add too much to the cost!

Portablility! Your soundbar doesn't play on your deck or at the beach or in the cabin, does it?

Q: Do I have to be a Spotify Premium User?

A: Yes, you must have a Premium account to take advantage of this special offer.

I already have a Sonos for my house, but for travel this might be a better solution than the Jambox Mini. Anyone compare the sound between the mini and the Heos 3?

It's arrived.. Very slick little speaker. Folks are considering one so I typed this up.

Product design / setup: 9/10

Very nice looking unit with only volume buttons on top. Sold feeling.

Sound quality: 9/10

Exceptionally clear. VERY full low end for a speaker this size. Volume wise, can get absurdly loud for the size without much distortion/clipping. If forced to complain, A touch muddy in the mids and could use slightly crisper highs... But for the "streaming speaker" category, this is the cats meow right now.

App: 8/10

Everything is driven by the app. Available for iOS and android. Very simple design, but can be slightly laggy at times with sporadic audio drop outs at fringes of wifi range. They are the exception rather than the rule though.

Overall, this thing at $99 on the spotify member promotion (down from $299 price that's enforced everywhere) is a ridiculous deal. Definitely worth signing up for spotify for a month ($9) and ordering one.

If you get an array of them thru house, you can stream different music to any room from anywhere, or "group" speakers by drag and drop to sync music output in multiple rooms at once.

Above you can see the options for music streaming sources.. Amazon is not currently supported but I suspect it will be eventually. Also local files can be streamed from any computer/tablet/phone in the house on the wifi network. There is also an aux input
