***Spotlight: Joey Harrington (1 Viewer)

With Vick likely out due to indictment let's project Harrington.

This kid has a better completion record than Vick and the Falcons are in better shape than both Detroit and Miami. Look at Jeff Garcia he couldn't get it done in Detroit but on a team like the Eagles he was fine.

I think the guy will take this chance to shine. I like Horn and Jenkins is coming along add the potential of rookie Laurent Robinson and we could get a nice surprise.

I'll say 3200 passing with 22 Td's and 20 Int's/

Added the *** to topic title to indicate unofficial.

But I havn't seen a spotlight on Joey yet.

Are you allowed to post spotlights?

I traded for Harrington today in my dynasty - got him for Jordan Palmer and Alex Smith (te)

I hope Vick gets what he deserves what he probably wont because his name.

If Vick is out, it definitely helps all of the WRs IMO as I still believe he is the problem more than the receivers.

I doubt Vick will be suspended before the trial. Look at what happened to the Duke Lacrosse players. With that said Harrington is not that good and will not be more then a 14-20 fantasy QB if he played the whole year(which he won't). This is a running team and Vick was a stud qb because of his legs Harrington needs a great supporting cast and he does not have a good group of wr's around him in Atlanta

3 GAMES

500 YARDS 3 TD'S 4 INT'S

I don't know if I would say the ATL WR's are not a good group. It's even more obvious now that Vick was the problem. I mean if your out Saturday night til 4 am watching dogs fight you probably aren't to clear headed at game time.Crumpler is a stud. Horn looks healthy. Jenkins is coming along and Laurent Robinson looks like a steal! They need to play Joey all year!

Vick's getting a wrist-slap when all is said and done, so this is moot point. Too bad; IMO Harrington sure isn't great, but isn't as terrible as most think either.

maybe, but i don't think so.

Now they (Falcons, NFLPA and NFL) are negotiating a leave of absence for him until the trial is over since many feel this hanging over his head will only hurt both he and the franchise and limit his effectiveness even more.

If Vick is gone and the WRs look good with Harrington, I think Vick will be finished in ATL, if he isn't already.

If, and this is a HUGE IF, Harrington can show some accuracy and even modest decision making skills then I think ATL could be a wildcard team with Harrington putting up 2900 - 3200yds, 21TDs and 17 INTs. Maybe running for another 190 and scoring 2 TDs on sneaks.

I think Shockley will give Joey a run for his money in preseason.

This post should be deleted. Joey Harrington is the Falcon's backup Quarterback as of right now. You should do some player spotlights on Jim Sorgi or Bruce Gradkowski.

Harrington just doesn't have what it takes to be a proficient passer in the NFL. Unless the Falcons make a play for Culpepper or whoever gets their walking papers in preseason, this is Harrington's team. As a long time Falcons fan, I'm predicting a very long season.

2800yrds 15TDs 25Ints

There is no reason to delete this thread for that is short sighted saying Harrington is a backup...If Vick is not at camp due to his leave of absence, then Harrington is the starter. That being the case, Harrington could be a sleeper, and it is good to project what he could do if given the opportunity (since no one knows when Vick will be back). Isn't this what the Shark pool is about?PS I do agree that the thread title should be changed since this is not an official FBG Player Spotlight.

I picked him up in my dynasty draft. I've got Croyle, Kellen and McNair already (I took over this team). I consider him a low-risk and modest reward selection.
