I think he's going to end up as a legit #1-maybe not in workload but in production. He is a real threat to score on returns, passing, and/or rushing-every week.he has been a great PPR value the last 2 weeks despite on getting maybe 10 carries. When LT comes back will Sproles remain as a 8-10 carry back with all passing downs as well? Trying to gauge whether Sproles really is a legit #3 RB or just fools gold.

Or1. Owner owns Sproles that counts return yardage in adddition to the receptions hog he already is - Moss not worth it.2. Lt out for the year becomes an uber-stud RB1 and no one can predict an injury. He could continue to tear it up - Moss not worth it.I think Sproles does become a top 5 RB especially if your league counts return yards.Randy Moss for Sproles is just stupid value. Take it and run.Two scenarios:1. LT comes back (likely) and Sproles reverts back to passing down status - valuable but not worth Moss!2. LT out for the year (not likely) and Sproles becomes an uber-stud RB1 for about 3-6 weeks before getting hurt with that tiny frame. Still not worth Moss!I think it is highly unlikely that Sproles becomes a top 5 RB this year no matter how you slice it and there fore if you can get that caliber player for him, do it.
based on one game against a decent Oak defense?Guys...LT is done. Why can't people get that through their thick heads? Even when "healthy", LT has no more burst, can't cut and can't get to the corners without being walked down by a linebacker. Sproles is the man moving forward in SD. It's obvious, but, people just can't accept that.

there's been a TON of sproles talk in the "is LT done thread too" BTWThanks for getting this thread off the ground. I was wondering his value as well and couldn't find anything in any of the other threads.
He's a RB2 no matter what LT does because LT won't catch passes in PPR. Staff will have to get him the ball because he's the most explosive player they have BAR NONE right now. He's a PPR must start the next two weeks LT will probably remain out. After that he's worthless in non-PPR leagues but could still hold value in PPR leagues as a RB3.
LT will still catch some passes just probably not as much as in the past. Sproles will have just about no value in non-PPR leagues.I just posted this link in the "Is LT done" section and I think it's very telling with regards to the role Sproles and LT will have when LT returns:He's a RB2 no matter what LT does because LT won't catch passes in PPR. Serious question - have actually watched him run the ball? I love the guy and he's great at what he does but there's no chance that he's a legit starting RB in the NFL. He's not even on Reggie Bush's level and even though he can put up good points in PPR he's not going to be consistent even if he ends up with the full-time job.I am high on Sproles, have him in 1 league and trying to acquire him in another. IMO, he is an rb1 in the second tier range ( Forte, DeAngelo ) without LT and an RB2 with LT in the Ray Rice, Joseph Addai rangeWith LT out, there are only a few rb's I would rather have, namely, AP,Chris Johnson, Gore, MJD. This guy can score at any moment, imo he will have multiple 25+ point games this year.
