5.02 RB Warrick Dunn (Atl)

This is who I almost took over Marshawn. Great player in a PPR league, even with Jerious taking some carries.

Love the value here.

PM going out to PAE.

Oh yeah, my Sabres SUCKED tonight. Totally pissed at their lack of effort. Rangers deserved this one big time IMO.

I'll let Preds take back his Lynch pick, as that is who I wanted here. Thought about taking him last round but thought Twilight didn't need a RB, Preds already had a week 6 bye RB and I just needed to get past PAE. But If Lynch was gone, I had Lewis as a fall back.

Thought too long about this pick. Let's see if the gamble pays off. My track record on RB2 gambles leave a lot to be desired in these leagues.

5.04 Kevin Jones

5.05 Michael Vick QB Atl.

thought there would be a mini run on QBs before it returned to me......never the less had to double up on bye weeks. oh well.

PMing next

5.07 - Chester Taylor, RB MIN

My week 5 will be tough, but I think that people are overrating Peterson's immediate impact.

I agree that he fell to far. I was ready to take him if he came back. I'll have to settle for another starter in Oak. Oh well.
It was Taylor or Jordan for me too.
In a PPR I like Jordan a bit more. Of course having a new QB is a concern but for a good reason. He should keep the safety out of the box leaving plenty of dump off room for Jordan. I know Jordan won't do as well as his first year but I can still see him scoring in the top 15. In this format (16 teams) as a 5th rounder I can live with that.

5.10 Micheal Turner RB

So many RB's with question marks at this point in the draft, at least MT is young, healthy and in this format you know you'll get some points without having to make that start decision, especially towards the end of the year, along with the upside of possibly becoming the Man.

I think his window closed. He looks to be locked in as a back up. He looked like a potential steal before the draft, but now?

He'll still get his carries and more as the year goes on and in this format you won't have to pick his starts.I think he'll get his share regardless if, SD wants LT to last and they did pay the price to keep him.

looks like rzrback fell asleep in HyperActive thread :scared:

I've sent my 5.14 list to FM---I'll check in around 11:30 to see if we've gotten anywhere

it's ok we'd be wiating on Ruds/Chaz to show up anyway.side note:6 of the last 9 picks were RB's. Kind of odd, 5th round RB2 run.

This has been happening this year. The depth and uncertainty at RB have lfet value picks in the 4th thru 6th rounds. The bigeest surprise is probably Chester. I tend to agree that his value has dropped but not that much. They are not just going to bench him but he won't be extended or resigned either. Much like what happened to Rhodes. AP is the future, just not this year.

I was working. Didn't know that I left the browser open, meant to close it, but I did find that thread interesting since I will be starting my first EVAH dynasty draft in only tow days.

Is it a good thing to start your first dynasty with the definition of a dynasty player? Just two days till LT Time for rzrback77.....I digress

I'll do my part to keep the RB run alive.....

5.11 Julius Jones RB Cowboys[/can somebody PM AR, I need to get back to wqork...

fixed  I hate it when work gets in the way of a good survivor draft!

PM sent

Pick 5.13: Matt Hasselbeck

This one can surely be second guessed, as I already have Brady. Still, having two top 10 QBs gives me a nice advantage at that position, especially with 16 teams. Hopefully, the other guys I am targeting will still be available so that the advantage is worth it.

got a total of 80 carries last year of which half were by week 5......so tough call.

5.14 RB Tatum Bell (Det)

I'll PM next up
:blackdot: WTF are you doing? Basturd!!!! This is 2 rounds earlier than he went in the PDSLs. I gambled on Kevin Jones instead of Jordan or Chester feeling pretty confidant I could grab Bell with my 6/7 pick. :lmao: ;) :wall:

I hate that when that happens. FWIW-I appreciate the strategy but unless I'm on or near the end I don't try that. Someone always screws it up.

I really went back and forth on that pick quite a few times...didn't help being half drunk either. :D Murphy's Law...every time I try something like this, it backfires. If I didn't, I can guarantee Bell would have been there. :fro:

I said my RB2 gambles never pay off in these leagues. At least the draft aspect didn't pay off. Hopefully the rehab does pay off and he starts opening day.

:lmao: just cuz the boys drafting PDSL don't understand a guy in a good situation doesn't mean I leave him sitting around for the rest of you knuckleheads, does it? :P

Every year in these survivor drafts there is a player (of the RB variety, among others) that is under the radar---a guy that will find his way into a new situation and the masses have yet to get a pulse on his real, not perceived, value.

Last yr Frank Gore in the 5th w/SSL-IVReunion League...earlier this yr, Travis Henry 5.14 in WSL-I

:lmao:

sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't!
