SSL1 Draft Thread (1 Viewer)

Reaper selects:

5.06 QB Matt Ryan, Hotlanta

For my part, I guess it's a high risk lineup setting up here--but they're runnin'....

5.07 QB Jay Cutler, Chitown

pm'n Old Mil

Matt Cassell, QB KC

I guess I feel kinda fortunate? I dunno yet...

pm'ing

Here's one I might wish I had "waited" on since Bass and Ruds have their QB1, but I can't risk them pullin the block on me.

Still holding out hope for a quick turn, but if not I will have to PM my pick for 6.07 to someone - Anyone going to be here all afternoon? (I have a meeting that will last through the afternoon and into at least early evening)

I will likely put up a new thread for second stanza (rounds 7-12), but IF you don't see it and we actually make that much progress just post them here.

Don't know how fast it will get there, but I'll be around pretty much until 5:00 before taking off a few hours this evening.

That'd work! :X

6.2 A. Gonzalez, WR-IND

Probably a pick that will seriously come back to bite me as I'm taking some huge risks in this draft. Couldn't resist him with Marvin out of the picture. Actually liked him better than Evans, but knew that homer boy Ruds didn't feel the same way so I let him slide around the turn.

I think it was a good pick, I was all over him if he made it back around to me

5.16 TE Greg Olsen, CHI

6.01 WR Bernard Berrian, MIN
I was thinking about Olsen way back with the 4.12 pick but my hand was forced a bit with some other players. Bye weeks factor into this big time as well. There are players that I really cannot take at this point so I don't load up on certain bye weeks. I did not like the 3/4 turn much at all, but I like what you did here and think these 2 players are going to help you big time.

So was I--but I figured that was way too much to hope for.

I almost took Olsen at 3.16.Not sure what you don't like about Rivers and Bryant but they went right around where they should be expected to go.

tell me who you would have taken at the 3/4 turn.

bye weeks factor strongly into every single pick I make.

 so close...

6.06 - WR Dreck Mason, Ravens

Like taking candy from a baby...

I guess you haven't heard, babies have no use for WRs on run first teams that are about to plummet off the cliff into a wheelchair.
