I guess we are supposed to start our own thread, so I will edit this for the choices list the first two rounds, then start a new topic for each additional two round series of picks.

And for the sake of completeness since most of us are noobies, the rules per the sticky.

18 rounds of drafting

No free agent pick ups

Serpentine drafting

No submission of rosters. Each week 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK and 1 Def/ST will be maximized for your weekly score

No limits on draft by position, i.e. you can draft 4 defenses if so inclined

Player Scoring:

Passing TDs = 6 pts

Rushing/receiving TDs = 6 pts

1 pt per 20 yards passing

1 pt per 10 yards rushing/receiving

1 pt per reception (QB/RB/WR)

2 pt per reception (TE)

Kicker Scoring:

3 pts per FG

1 pt per EP

Defense Scoring:

Points Allowed

0 = 5 points

1-6 = 3 points

7-13 = 1 point

14+ = 0 points

Total Yards Allowed

0-199 = 5 points

200-249 = 3 points

250-299 = 1 point

300+ = 0 points

Sack = 1 point

INT/Fumble Recovery = 2 points

Safety = 2 points

TD (inc. ST) = 6 points

Low Score each week for first 13 weeks is booted off (except for the cumulative scoring league). High score gets amnesty for next week. Scores reset each week.

Once there are 3 teams left, there will be no more amnesty.

For weeks 14-end of the season, 1 team will be lost every two weeks.

A prize of message board bragging rights will be given to the winner.

If two teams should tie for low score, the tie will be broken by best player not used in calculating the maximum score per squad regardless of position.

Should a dispute arise, Twilight will act as the league commish once the season starts. His decision is final. In scoring disputes, we'll defer to the scoring used by Twilight and his software. Scores are final as of midnite Tuesday, no matter what scoring changes occur during the week. BnB and Duke1948 will serve as commish prior to the season.

Time limits explained above. No additional time for the people on the tail end of the snake. Each league will be responsible for tracking their own time limit violations.

If you miss you selection, you can make it at any time, first come, first serve on who's left.

Pre-drafting via PM to another member is encouraged.

I could swear I saw a post by BLOX that he was picking LT but going through the other threads, I couldn't find it to confirm.

You are correct.....I saw it.Where are people? Everyone knew it started this morning and we should have at least a few more people sitting here ready to pick. :lmao:Just about everyone involved here is experienced in these. We should at least be able to cruise through the first round this morning and possibly both rounds today.

I will be gone over the lunch hour. If need be, I can make the call, unless Lott's fingertip's pick (that would be a pun were it not for the transected fingertip on the surgical towel avatar) comes up over that time. Feel free to pm predraft picks if preferable.

you will see the first post of the thread at the top of your screen regardless of what page of the thread you are viewing.

I had done the same earlier.I have Jesse's picks for round 1 (Lott's Fingertip). I'll post as soon as we get to his turn.Just to clarify, the time rules are:Eight hour clock running from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. weekdays and weekends. If you time out, your clock is cut in half for remaining picks (four hours).Per rules in sticky.If you miss your turn, you may submit a pick at any time following.

Probably meant you were "on-deck"........don't sweat it, you'll still likely get Holt, (but now your stategy is exposed for all to contemplate...., at least for a few minutes.....)

Baseball terminology in a football draft?!?For shame...

Maybe the guy next up should PM for guy next up..you're NYG Coach in '08...instead of "on deck" so he knows he's not OTC, but soon will have his shot.

The clock is OFF overnight, in that your time OTC will not start overnight (while your asleep), but will defer to 8am EST the next day. Likewise, if you OTC at midnight EST, you get extended until 8am EST.FootballHead went OTC at 9:15 PM EST (I sent him PM and email at some point). His clock expired at 8am EST. The HOLT pick is now valid for t8knovrChaos is up - I sent him a PMFBH may pick at anytime and is now on a 4 hour clock.
