St. Louis at Washington (1 Viewer)

Altercation on first play of game with Garcon and DB.

Trent Williams hurt but playing

McCoy exclusively using shotgun formations.

Rams stuffed on 1st down, and fumble/recover on 2nd down. Completed pass on 3rd down for a 1st.

3rd and inches for Rams, they pass and it's incomplete, a WR is down, medical staff is out of field, and Redskins called for unnecessary roughness. Ryan Clark, thanks for that.

Rams penalized for removing a defender's helmet.

Clark with another hit that risked a penalty but didn't get one.

Rams with another penalty and moved out of FG range.

Welcome to the Backwards Bowl folks!

Hit on the "head and neck area" of a defenseless receiver. Could they be any more ####### vague with that rule?

Redskins start from inside their own 1-yard line. Time for another one of their vaunted 99-yard drives. If Gruden calls a run through the middle it'll likely be a safety. Their line isn't good at that.

Nice risky completion from McCoy to Niles Paul.

False start penalty. :lmao:

Completion to Morris for a 1st down.

McCoy INT.

That one's on Griffin.
Well, it's not on McCoy. That was just a bad beat.
The DB watched McCoy watch Grant and was right in position for the INT. Yeah, that's on McCoy.
Nope, sorry, watch the replay. That contact between the Rams defender and Ryan Grant took place beyond 5 yards from the line of scrimmage, and before the ball was released. Penalty on Rams T.J. McDonald for illegal contact, 1st down Redskins. Tough no call. That pass would have been right on the money to Grant if he wasn't illegally rerouted by the Rams DB. Quality officials catch that kind of stuff.

By the way, there's plenty to criticize Robert Griffin about, both the player and the person, but that's better saved for the Team thread.

Stop apologizing for a bad QB play. The DB who was deep was watching McCoy, who was staring at Grant, and the DB came up for the INT. Watch the replay.

Cofield hurt again.

Rams get a 1st down but lose it due to holding.

And a long TD pass for the Rams.

So far what has been working for the Redskin offense are passes over the middle to Garcon and Morris, and a wide run by Morris.

Andre Roberts decides to stop while returning a kickoff and is tackled on the 11 or so.

I'm no fan of Haslett by any account, but look at the players we trotted out there today. How many of them would start for another NFL Defense, play anything other than Special Teams, or be on a roster at all? Seriously...

...and not having an offense to keep them off the field and have time to rest, reload and regroup between opposing team's offensive series only compounds the problem. Before they have a chance to even try to input some adjustments/corrections, they're back out on the field again.

Vicious cycle.

McCoy to Garcon again. Might as well stick with it; it works.

Running play annihilated by the Rams D.

Completion over the middle to Moss.

Sack.

The Redskin MVP Tress Way comes in and punts 500 miles.

And Autin returns it a long ways. Rams in FG range again.

Agree. We don't have NFL level talent or coaching.

Cofield is back in.

Mason gets a good run to the 6.

Hill sacked and fumbles and Rams recover.

Hill Sacked again.

Rams FG missed. :lmao:

"Who will lose?"

Rams 6

Redskins 0

Rams kicker -4

score so far

McCoy fumbles and Redskins recover.

McCoy sacked.

First time I've seen a penalty on a punt returner for signalling fair catch and then returning it. Rams just keep setting themselves back.

And then a false start on 1st down.

40-yard completion to Britt. Who was covering him? I missed the number. Thanks.

Whoever is supposed to block Kerrigan is doing a terrible job. Almost another sack there. Rams have to punt.
