St. Louis Rams QB Marc Bulger is OUT 3-6 weeks. (1 Viewer)

Rams | Bulger out three to six weeks Mon Nov 23, 06:49 PM

StLouisRams.com reports St. Louis Rams QB Marc Bulger (tibia) will miss three to six weeks after an MRI revealed a broken tibia. It is not known if he will be placed on Injured Reserve.

No link.

I have paid lines service feeds and sportsbooks making lines on games get updates pretty quick. There are many times I will get an alert on an injury or lineup change before it is even on ESPN and almost always before places like ROTOWIRE. The thing is it is not official from the league or team, but for the most part, not sure any injury I have posted here before being announced has been off.

:) Johnny Detroit is money when it comes to NFL news.

Would probably be a slight downgrade for Jackson. He's already managing to beat defenses that are totally stacking the box against him, but if Boller can't move the chains like Bulger has started to, the newfound scoring opportunities won't be there.

Let's hope Boller checks down...a lot.
Let's hope Boller is AWAKE. I don't imagine he gets much rest.(Google who he's banging dating)
OMG... He's dating that moron?
If I'm googling the right person (Carrie Prejean), not sure what you're talking about. She's smoking hot!!!
I fail to see where the two are mutually exclusive.
Exactly... Having no brain and no figure are equally unattractive to me.

Bulger has played his last down as a St.Louis Ram
I hope he gets a shot with a decent team out there next year. He's been competing every week (and getting beat up every week) in a hopeless situation.Put him on a solid team, and I think he can be relevant again.

I dunno... I really think Bulger is broken.I don't remember why, but I was just talking to my brother about him a couple weeks ago, and his fundamentals have really disappeared. I've watched a couple games where he would throw off his back foot, etc. even when he actually had descent protection.

considering the "protection" he's had the last couple of years, it's understandable if he's a bit skiddish. I'm thinking give him some decent protection and confidence that he won't be a tackling dummy on every other play, and we'll see some good fundimentals again.

Why?Why is the 1st thing everyone wants is a link? Seriously? What does the link do? Would you want a link from the folks that it is linked to? Just sign up for Schefter's twitter buzz throughout the day and then you don't even have to come in here.I'm sorry for being an ### but I think at this point, it's been about 10 years+ this board has been around and I for one am willing to forego links when someone might have simply heard an announcement in some unwritten form of the media and wants to at least give us a heads up.Just assume that a link will come along at some point...if we are 20 posts in and there is no link then maybe ask about it but not hardly a minute later and you ask for a link? This situation really is small potatoes anyways...no one was riding Bulger or really any part of that passing game to the playoffs so if Bulger is out a month it really does not impact that many owners. Sorry for the rant, please carry on.

No I'm not.Do I need to come up with the list of veteran QBs who were "done in the NFL" until they found their way off of their godawful teams and into winning situations?

Edit to add: Assuming you say "Yes", Kerry Collins, Rich Gannon and your very own Kurt Warner are three just off the top of my head without giving it any serious thought.

At the very least he's an improvement to what they have in Oakland.

What makes you think this other than you hope it to be so? Don't get me wrong, I'd like STL to start fresh with a new QB, and wish Bulger well elsewhere if that happens for him, but I just don't see that happening.I don't know the specific breakdown on his contract, but I know he last signed a $65 million extension and is signed through 2013. That number of years and presumable dollars remaining make me think no one would trade for Bulger, and it would likely be too cost prohibitive to waive him outright.

I personally think they flat out waive him as well. If they don't, they're going to have a high pick at the very least with a good amount of talent at the QB position coming up in this years draft.. if he's not totally done with the Rams.. I can see them draft a QB, start Bulger next season and sit him after the media and fans call for (insert drafted QB's name here), after (Insert drafted QB's name here) was forced into action he will probably struggle and they'll flip flop with him and Bulger.
