First to be hit with the injury bug :moneybag:

I think 122 isn't bad because of that though. If I had to take a hit that's the position I'd like to take a hit at as RBs don't seem to have too too much value in this league vs others.

Initially I thought Aaron had a horrible week as everyone had 80-100 while he just had 40 but he had all later game players and wound up doing quite well.

Not sure why it's in "all play" mode. I don't recall seeing that in the signup thread but it's interesting that at .2 less points Yudkin would have one more win than me.

Busman starting strong, kudos.

Standings pretty well spread out. I don't think staff or MB has any significant advantage just yet.

Bottom 3 teams don't look it when I look at the rosters. Take a quick look and those are some good teams, so I figure there's alot of shifting still to come. Yet Busman already has a weekly score's lead on some of them. Pretty interesting how quick he jumped out.

My team- Jacobs gets hurt, mentioned previously. Leon Washington-I still can't understand Mangini's thoughts on not using him more, he got a goose-egg. I gotta get some RB production quick

All teams compete against each other each week, so your total record is all your wins and losses from each week added together. Total points don't matter (except maybe as a tie breaker, but I'm not sure on that part). As the weeks roll on, I'm sure there will be teams with fewer points but more wins than other squads.

My team sucks worse than the bad 9-17 record that I have. This was the worst draft I had all year. :potkettle:
why?Not an egg you on insult you Q but like why do you feel that way? What did you do different in other drafts than this one? etc. Something to learn from this?

I want to thank my fellow Buffalo native Rudnicki - after I saw him draft Caddy & Jordan in this league, I said to myself "you know, his team looks pretty damn good with those RB's". So I went out and drafted Caddy & Jordan as my RB2 & RB3 in my 14 team league. Needless to say, my team is in 1st after 2 weeks. Thanks again Ruds! Next time you're in Buffalo, drinks are on me at the Old Pink. :goodposting:

I lack RB depth, and as soon as I made the Vernon Davis pick, I knew my RB and WR depth would suffer. In a best ball format, I would have liked to have better RB and WR depth than I do. I'm usually hard on myself, but I really felt my draft was poor from the Vernon Davis pick on. I felt like I was playing catchup regarding RB and WR depth. The Davis pick (rd 7) was not bad by itself, but I had taken VY in rd 6, and I knew I had to have at least one RB or WR at the 6/7 turn. I made a pick that I knew was not the right pick based on my roster at that point. Then I back an inconsistent Davis up with Olsen, a rookie. That was just not smart. One thing I have learned about fantasy football is you never know, so maybe this team won't be as bad as I think. But I really did not like the draft I had. I knew as soon as the 6/7 turn passed that I would be up against it for the rest of the draft trying to get RB and WR depth. I honestly did not feel bad about any of my other drafts this year. This one I just did not like for the above reasons.

LaMont Jordan is the #2 scoring RB so far. I got him at 5.14 and nearly every heckler said it was a bad pick.

"Ouch."

7.14 QB Matt Hasselbeck, 89.14 QB JP Losman, 623.14 QB Seneca Wallace, 81.01 RB LaDanian Tomlinson, 73.14 RB Cadillac Williams, 105.14 RB LaMont Jordan, 511.14 RB Brian Leonard, 915.14 RB Najeh Davenport, 62.14 WR Roy Williams, 64.01 WR Braylon Edwards, 76.01 WR Bernard Berrian, 98.01 WR Kevin Curtis, 513.14 WR Eric Moulds, 414.01 WR Michael Jenkins, 816.01 WR Peerless Price, 622.01 WR Roscoe Parrish, 610.01 TE Dallas Clark, 612.01 TE Owen Daniels, 1024.01 TE Steve Heiden, 719.14 PK Nate Kaeding, 721.14 PK Matt Bryant, 1017.14 DEF Seattle, 818.01 DEF St Louis, 920.01 DEF Kansas City, 8
Losman's poor start and injury shouldn't hurt me too badly at QB since Hasselbeck is playing great.I get Leonard added to my RB group now and Davenport is getting 8 to 10 points/week as the backup in Pittsburgh so far. Tomlinson off to a slow start but should heat up soon.Top 4 WRs looking pretty potent with some decent depth behind them. Roscoe Parrish counted for me at the flex in week 2 over Tomlinson among others. In week 3, Jenkins and Berrian both were tied for the flex spot.Dallas Clark is the 4th ranked TE right now and Daniels is at TE13.my kickers have been awful, but should pick things up.3-headed defense has gotten me about 12 points per week so far, which would put them around DEF5 if it was just one unit...ahead of the Bears and Ravens.still love this team.

It's alot of W's and Ls each week. I'm not used to this final scoring format. I imagine these gaps can be closed real quick. 7 or so negative records and IIRC last week it was the opposite. I had a bad week. I could sure use Jacobs to return and give me a little bit of points more. Ward getting hurt didn't help. Jax not throwing the ball as little as they did in 06 is mind boggling. I was looking for some marginal production not anything too too much from Jags WRs and.....geesh they're awful thus far. Hoping there's a curve there and they have some good weeks coming up.I did feel like "welcome to the party" when other guy's players started getting hurt as well.Pasquino is not on my radar with MFL gameday. I'm noticing Ruds and Bus each week but not JP.Geesh Carson threw for a ton of yards yet didn't get too too many points. That bugged me as Pennington's around 120 yards but 2 or 3 TDs put him at a similar score as Carson's 340 yards. I should have gone 2nd, even 3rd, QB earlier. I realized QBs were awesome in this format but I guess I minimized just how great they were once I landed Carson.

Well I noticed Pasquino's team this week and geesh they don't look that good to me.

Kitna, Dunn, Michael Robinson, Crayton, McDonald, Furrey, Engram, Heath Miller, Longwell, Ravens

Sure Kitna and Ravens are very good most weeks. The rest are somewhat ordinary or pedestrian and it's a bit much to expect him in 1st. I can't foresee him in 1st when this is done but he was as of week 3 though so kudos to JP and some real shrewd decisions. Now that I've noticed his team, it's pretty interesting.

I need Carson to get 20-30 tonight. On a normal week he would but the Pats have been awesome so I'm not so sure about that tonight. If so that'll put me midway in the scoring(minus any other NE CIN players of course) and I would have survived NINE zeroes this week. Geesh the injuries gotta stop mounting for me here or I'm done. Hopefully Jacobs and Ward will return soon. I see Anthony had a couple outs and Yudkin may have lost Harrison last night so injury wise the field's evenning some.

As I always feel with a Tomlinson team, it's almost "not fair" when that owner gets 2 TDs from his 4th or 5th WR and his TE. The team should ride Tomlinson's coattails and if we can somehow outscore him, we get the W but....some good picks by Rudnicki there.

With 13 players on my roster getting a zero (injuries, byes, benched like Grossman), it's no surprise I was 0-13 this week. I have no points at QB with VY on a bye and Grossman benched, Rudi and Portis out, Owens had a bad week.

I knew the chances of me winning one game this week were slim to none. My entire roster scored in the 80's.

My team is as bad as the 13-39 record it has. It's not as bad as this week. I only had 9 positions out of 22 that scored a point.

Fortunately, the rest of the staff is doing great overall.

:excited:
How's that working out for you now???

Really disappointed with my team so far. I've had some of the bigger busts in the draft with MJD, Reggie Brown, Leinart, Alex Smith. And I completely blanked on drafting Randy Moss despite being big on him here on the board. I'm not sure why but I just whiffed on him in the 4th.

I really need MJD to step it up, Gore to start playing like he's capable, and a WR to step up. I'm not giving up hope yet...

Tough to predict injury, not much you can do about it. Fortunately I have FWP & Sammy Morris still on that team. With any luck, Jordan's injury isn't serious.

Brown has come alive in recent weeks, and Lynch is playing well for a rookie on a poor offense. Beyond that, I'm skating on thin ice. Maybe Dayne continues to see some action in Houston?

WR: The strength of my squad (despite a 15th round waste on David Boston). CJ, Chambers, and Cotchery are strong up front, while Toomer, Stokley, and Porter can crack the scoring lineup as well.

TE: Winslow has his health issues but is still performing well. Baker has been a nice addition with a couple of scores. Royal looks like a wasted last round pick right now.

K: I need Scobee to get well soon.

DEF: The lack of a second DEF could be my downfall (well played Yudkin). Hopefully Minnesota will quickly get back to their early season form, and the rest of my squad can cover for them while they're off this week.

Week 5 byes: CJ, Porter, and the Minny DEF. Hopefully I won't miss those points too much.

I don't think I quite have the squad to win it all, but I plan on being around the top all season.

MB getting hosed.

no Caddy, no LaMont, but Tomlinson still doesn't count towards my lineup this week. He couldn't beat out Brian Leonard and Najeh Davenport at RB or Owen Daniels at the flex spot.

there were a ton of teams bunched up between 109 and 122 points this week. despite a horrible game from the QB position, I still managed to score the 4th highest total.

looks like I might not be getting Losman back too soon either. oh well. team still seems to be in pretty good shape.

I survived the bye week of the Minnesota D/ST (my lone defense thanks to poor drafting and Yudkin swipping the last of 'em right before me) with minimal damage. If little bro can light it up in the ATL this week, I'll feel good about Peyton driving BusMan's squad to the promised land.

Five weeks in, and we have four teams currently in contention for the top spot. MB is creeping up the standings a bit, but the contest is still the staff's to lose.

Five weeks in, and that 71 win projection by the DD for my squad looks like ####. Went 13-0 this week with injuries to Walker, Moss & Calvin.

If I ever start getting anything out of Maroney I could make a move. I know I didn't invest much in RBs, but I have by far the worst RB scoring in the league.

On another note, is the scoring set properly for this league? Allpositions are full points except for PKs which are decimal scoring.

NOTE: I checked the rules. Al players are supposed to have decimal scoring, not just kickers. This may impact some of the closer grouped teams each week. I will get in touch with the powers that be to get this corrected.

to

Maroney 0.0

Yes, that's much better..... well done.

I would guess that there may be a couple teams that will go up or down a win or two as there have been some weeks with close results.

I think I was 4th this week 10-3

http://football34.myfantasyleague.com/2007...=77571&O=31

Pasquino's team clicked everywhere this week. Like previous years, I feel like the LT2 owner should get no 2nd round pick to try and make it more fair. WOW Is he just amazing for FF and in this format with so many Ws possible in one week he's even better! Gonna be tough for anyone to knock Aaron out of first. Busman's Manning brothers at QB is pretty sweet.

I need another good week next week. Hopefully I can crack the top 6, then it'd be 3 staffers 3 MBs in the top 6. I'm rooting for Upside. I'm adding the W and Ls in my head and....we need his record to start going the other way. Once I get to that 67 it's rough. His team is not bad, it's very possible he rattles off a few good weeks in a row. Let's start the chant going TU! TU! TU!

FWIW Staffers, DD,

This league would be more interesting as actual FF. More interesting is kinda understating it...it'd be fascinating really. Borbely and TU are struggling right now. Neither has a bad team. So does Rudnicki trade someone to Borbely to help him out, who would that be? Does that weaken him at another position where Yudkin (who has alot of depth) has to trade him someone? It would be so interesting IMO to see how everyone reacts with 7 teams, to work with, instead of 1.

Maybe something to try next year
