Stallworth Inactive

September 24, 2006

SAN FRANCISCO -- Wide receiver Donte Stallworth is inactive for Sunday's game against San Francisco because of a hamstring spasm he suffered Friday in practice. Cornerback Roderick Hood is active and expected to start in this important game against the 49ers ...

Happy because we lock our line-ups at noon, and my opponent started Stallworth.

Unhappy because I'm starting McNabb in 2 leagues.

Happy because I'm also starting Westbrook, and this should mean even more looks for him.

I have no luck at all in life. Lost a huge pot when a 2 hits on the river giving my oppent 22227 when i had 66222 before the river. Im sick to my stomach.

From CBS Sportsline

Donte' Stallworth, WR PHI

News: Eagles WR Donte Stallworth is inactive for Sunday's game against San Francisco because of a hamstring spasm he suffered Friday in practice.

This needs to be in bold letters!!!!!! This is big news....

Trying to figure out if I should take Mason out, and put Reggie Brown in!

responsible for your own players? :lmao: stupid.
No, it's not stupid. It's your responsibility to research the health status of your guys - no one else's. Blaming it on others is sour grapes. Well, you can blame it on Reid but that's about it.

Hey Guys,Here's what Reid said about the injury and what we had in our Players In The News:

*** Saturday Update *** WR Donte Stallworth (PHI) left practice early Friday, complaining of a tight hamstring. HC Andy Reid had this to say in regards to the injury. “Donte Stallworth had a spasm in his hamstring, something he had during the game (against the Giants),” Reid said. “He was grabbing it a little bit so I got him out of there before something serious were to happen. He should be fine for the game.”
He was listed as probable. There's not a lot more you can do there. We sent an email to all our guys letting them know as soon as anyone knew but it was well after the 1 pm games. Reid isn't normally a guy that plays lots of games with the injury report. I've got to believe it just tightened up on him today.J

Joe,This should have been a BREAKING NEWS Email, and not just listed in the Late Game Inactives email....might have caught it sooner. Going from probable to inactive is definitely breaking news.:2cents:I caught it in enough time to put in Reggie Brown, but I am sure some missed it. :D :

It is stupid for you to say you need to be responsible for your players when Reid stated that Stallworth was gonna play. How can people who's other options at receiver played at one blame it on anyone other than Andy Reid?

It's not stupid. I was responding to the people who were blaming FBG and the other posters. All you can do is blame Reid.

I misunderstood your initial message, my mistake. As a Stallworth owner, I thought you were trying to tell me that there was more that I should have done.

Yeah I guess saying "be responsible" can be taken the wrong way. There's really nothing you could have done

Uh, that's why I pay fbg's for a yearly subscription, so I can do my research through them. I lost my game today because I saw nothing about Stallworth being inactive when I looked at the Sunday morning info.

I had Stallworth starting today. No way in hell I could have replaced him last minute because all my backups had already played earlier.

Stallworth was probably Sunday morning and out Sunday afternoon. I think that the FBG crystal ball is off this week. Bad luck, I know, but don't worry, it'll be back next week.

Not sure if it's a crystal ball vs a report that was published elsewhere (the wire, other sites, or wherever they get their updates). fortunately, for me, I made my chagne in time, but many leagues have a 10-15 minute cutoff...

GDB getting caught up in the Steelers-Bengals jawdown and missing this thread. I could've subbed in the scoring machine that is Daniel Graham.

I don't know what time "Draftsharks" got their update up, I don't know what time the FBG letter went out - if you want to criticize that, I can't/won't argue with you, but i was referring to the guy who was complaining that an injury that clearly happened later in the afternoon wasn't in the Sunday morning update.
