Star Trek: Renegades (1 Viewer)

Is this real? New timeline?
It is an independently produced pilot on an obvious low budget.

The time line is 10 years after Voyager returns from the Delta Quadrant.

The pilot is suppose to be 90 minutes long but has not been release yet (this trailer is the first indication that it might come to fruition but how it is broadcast is not yet known)

I watched TNG and some Voyager.

Recognized Chekov, black Vulcan and Holo-Doc.

Are there other series regulars (Enterprise, DS9)?

The other admiral looked familiar, was he Picards friend from Season 1 of TNG?

Are you referring to Richard Herd?

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0378800/

He was on TNG, but as a Klingon. He was a recurring admiral character on Voyager.

Black vulcan is Tuvok

Ship was named USS Archer

Harry Kim was suppose to be in pilot but had conflicts.

Some parts look good and others look amateurish. Is this some low budget Star Trek movie?
It Is very low budget. I think the entire budget was like $500k. I assume many of the actors worked for free in the hopes it would get picked up. It was filmed mostly against green screen.

Actually considering the budget it looks pretty good. It's amazing how far the tech has come and how cheap it is.

A couple of other notes

The leader of the renegades character is named Lexxa Singh and is a direct descendent of Khan.

The recurring character on Voyager of Icheb is back for this pilot (same actor)

One of the old admirals is Tom Paris's father. Not sure if same role or just same actor.Edit: yeah, Richard Herd.
I was mixing up my series.

I've been rewatching TNG with the wife via Netflix and I would have lost money betting he was in the episode where Riker nearly eats mealworms. It's amazing how much Measure of a Man stands out from the dreck of the first couple of seasons. Who thought Dr. Pulaski was a good idea?

She looked like McCoy.
