Something I noticed when deciding if I should pickup Beason to start him this week VS. some other LBs
Here are Arizona's (Beason opposition) opposing MLB/ILB stats vs. them (solo-assists):
Week 1: SF/Willis - 9-2, 1 FF
W2: SEA/Lofa - 11-1, 1 INT
W3: BAL/Lewis - 3-2
W4: PIT/Foote - 4-1 (Farrior 2-2)
W5: STL/Witherspoon - 11-3, 1 sack, 1 FF
So it's not hard to see that all the MLB in the 4-3 schemes (what CAR runs) have had GREAT games vs. Arizona. PIT runs a strict 3-4 and BAL a slight variation on it, and the ILB's there have not had as good of games. I realize Lofa and Witherspoon are premier MLB's, and Willis seems to be one in the making, but Beason may be too. Due to his inexperience, his big play ability may be limited, but the tackles should still be there. This game should stay close, or if anything AZ will be up and run more, which is all positive for Beason.
I think you can almost pencil in 8 solos for him with upside of more tackles, a PD, and a possible big play.
