I have been playing fantasy football since 1989 and I love it. I am online on my leagues everyday and will always answer questions. I do believe this will be the best league format that I have ever been in. I have been commish of a dynasty league with the same 12 guys for over 11 years.
1.) The league would be 32 teams all sharing the same player pool.
2.) We would use bye week carry over points. What that means is however many points a player scores the week before his bye week he will automaticaly be awarded the week of his bye week. We would have this becuase of the limited player pool with having so many teams. Also it will be very strategic figuring out who to start each week. Say J. Gaffney scores 16 fantasy points the week before his bye, do you start him the next week getting the sure 16 or do you stick with Greg Jennings hoping to get more. Tough Call!
3.)We would have a starting draft to figure out what team you got. The 32 participants would each draft a team, the team you drafted would get you their team def, their team kicker plus 1 Marquee player for a $50 (based off $300 cap not real money)salary from that team if you choose to take 1 (NO QB Can be taken as the maquee player). You may choose not to take 1 and save the $50 if you don't think they have a player worth $50 . (Team Kicker and Team Def. each start at $1 salary)
4.) Then we would do a 1 round QB draft that will be the reverse order of the team draft. This way everyone gets atleast 1 QB before the auction begins. You can go for additional QB's during the auction afterwards.
QB's 1-4 will cost $50
QB's 5-8 will cost $40
QB's 9-12 will cost $30
QB's 13-16 will cost $20
QB's 17-32 will cost $10
5.)The rest of your 20 player roster will be filled with a free agent auction. ($300 cap)
6.) The second year of the league there would be a 3 round rookie draft and the Taxi Squad would be introuduced.
7.) This league would not have years but salaries would change based on performance at the position that they play.
8.) Starting Lineup 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 2 Flex (RB, WR, TE) 1 Team Kicker, 1 Team Def.
9.) At the end of week 12 I would write down how many players were rostered at each position.
I would then use those numbers to determine the cut off list for salary changes.
Top 5% of players at each positition would get a $15 or 20% raise whichever was more
Top 6%-10% of players at each position would get a $12 or 18% raise whichever was more
Top 11%-20% of players at each position would get a $10 or 15% raise whichever was more
Top 21%-30% of players at each position would get a $8 or 12% raise whichever was more
Top 31%-40% of players at each position would get a $6 or 9% raise whichever was more
Top 41%-50% of players at each position would get a $4 or 6% raise whichever was more
Top 51%-60% of players at each position would get a $2 or 3% raise whichever was more
Top 61%-70% of players at each position would have their salary stay the same
Top 71%-80% of players at each position would get a $5 or 20% paycut whichever was less
Top 81%-90% of players at each position would get a $10 or 30% paycut whichever was less
Top 91%-100% of players at each position would get a $20 or 50% paycut whichever was less
The league will cost $50 plust $1 for all waivers and $2 for all trades no matter how many players are involved. All money will be paid out in winnings and money will be kept in the wepay site so there will be no shnaningans.
Example roster going into the free agent auction
Lets say you had the 8th pick in the team draft and you took the Arizona Cardinals. That would give you the 25th pick in the QB draft. Your roster could look like this.
Arizona Def. $1
Arizona Team Kicker $1
Larry Fitzgerald $50 (Marquee Player Price)
Tim Teebow $10 (QB 17-32 Price)
