Starting Peterson today, with confidence? (1 Viewer)

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Adrian Peterson (foot) is fully expected to start Sunday's Week 16 game against the Bengals.
After missing last week's game, Peterson got in two limited practice sessions this week and is listed as questionable. No worries. Peterson has told several people he's playing. He's Rotoworld's No. 3 running back for Week 16.

Question is, are you starting him with confidence in your final game of the yr.

starting him. my only lack of confidence is the potential for an aggravation to the foot and taking a zero. but he is ADP and this is the championship. he's got to be in.

I am starting him in 2 title games. I can't leave him on the bench if he is playing. I just hope Cinci doesn't get out to a fast 2 td lead.

Honestly, I'm not confident. As I only have to start 1 RB (because its a 2QB league) I could roll with Demarco Murray and start someone like Keenan Allen in the flex position. My only hope is he gets a TD to make it a modest day, about 12pts. He's an RB2 this week, don't expect more.

But as others have said, benching the best RB in the last decade is pretty stupid.

I am sitting him for Lacy and Morris. Dallas D is terrible and with the bad in weather in GB and Washington, I think both will have big games.

I am in two games and I am not starting him.

I am starting Zach Stacey, Demtryious Thomas, Brandon Marshall, and Keenan Allen over him in one league and these same guys in another except add in Demarco Murray.

I am concerned that Peterson may start and get pulled in a game that means nothing to Minny. Cinci is good against the run playing at home, I can't start him. In one game it is a semi, if he gets the carries and I win I'll start him next week.

If I do lose, I could live with it because I have started plenty of guys coming off injury, first week back and the player gets pulled. What bothers me just as much is the matchup, they aren't playing the Cowboys here, it'll be tough sledding in there.

If I were to start him I would sit Keenan Allen vs Raiders. I am thinking Peterson if he plays most of the game would get 80 yards and TD with 15 yards receiving. I don't have Keenan Allen's numbers much off of that vs Raiders, so why would I risk playing Peterson.

If he goes for 150 and 2 or 3 tds, I messed up big time. I just don't even see a 100 percent Peterson putting that up today so a 75 or 80 percent Peterson scares me a little with my other options.

If I had nothing, then of course I would play Peterson.

I don't know about confidence, but I need to start at least 1 RB and my alternatives are Asiata, Baker, and Dennis Johnson so Peterson it is.

Starting him in a league I have no choice with MJD expected to return (instead of rolling with Todman), but sitting him in favor of Reggie Bush in a PPR.

I can't say this is a "full confidence" action here.

Exactly, sometimes it is better like this. You have no choice but to put in last year's MVP at RB, you could be very happy. Having other options to screw you up is where this hobby becomes agonizing.

Starting him as RB4 (flex 2). Championship game. $ on the line....$130

WITH CONFIDENCE..... 80-90%% of ADP is worth more then my other options.....

Start 2 RB, 3 WR & 2 Flex

RB: J Charles, L Bell, L Miller and A Peterson

WR: Garcon, Rod Streater & Torrey Smith

Flex = Lamar Miller & Adrian Peterson

Starting them over Nate Burleson, Roddy White (@ SF), TY Hilton (@ KC) & Riley Cooper (weather issues)

As of now, starting him over Reggie Bush, but have swapped a few times today. My opponent has a slew of guys in the early games, so that may impact my decision too.

Non PPR 12 team dynasty.

This is close to my position. I'm so not confident, I have Keenan Allen in my flex position over AP in the most important game of the year. But benching him couldn't be further from stupid. Overly cautious yes...but far from stupid.

Game flow hosed AP owners. Sucks that their D didn't show up. Equally painful that my opponent played Dalton....are you kiddin' me?

Which was a concern going into the game. Adp rushed for over 4 yards per carry, the team was blown out and one downfall of ADPmis he really isn't used in the passing attack so falling behind like that really hurts him.

Adrian Peterson (foot, groin) got one second-half touch in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.

Battling a sprained foot and a strained groin, Peterson was a shell of his usual self as he rushed 10 times for 34 yards in the first half. The Vikings made the call to protect their franchise player by holding him out in the second half. "We got down early, and [coach Leslie Frazier] pulled me out," Peterson said. "I didn't like it, but when you think about it, being down 28 points, is the risk really worth it? I just accepted it for what it was." He went on to say that his body is "just not responding" right now. We'd be surprised if the Vikes let Peterson play in a meaningless season finale against the Lions
