We are nearing the point of the offseason in which many startup dynasty drafts are held. In the next three weeks leading up to the NFL draft, I will be posting a series of polls asking about how you see this year's dynasty drafts unfolding.

The polls will be based on the following lineup in a 12 team league-

QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex (RB, WR, TE) K, D

As far as scoring, assume 4 points for passing TDs and PPR for all positions.

If you vote for other, please post and let us know who you voted for.

1. Ladanian Tomlinson

2. Steven Jackson

3. Larry Johnson

4. Reggie Bush

5. Frank Gore

6. Brian Westbrook

7. Clinton Portis

8. Joseph Addai

9. Laurence Maroney

I'd guess the poll needs more options at this point. Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, and Adrian Peterson could be options at this point.

I agree... Fitzgerald or Manning should have been gone.. No way Maroney has more dynasty value, this guys runs reckless and is prone to big injury.

This is getting redonkulous - Manning and Fitz should be gone.
No way do i take Fitz over Ronnie Brown or Parker, and highley unlikely i consider Manning over either of them.RB's are just too valuable in a dynasty, and rounds 1 and 2 are you're only real shots at getting good ones.

If I'm really considering a WR, then I have to take into account the turn: why draft a WR with this pick when on my 2nd rounder I'm easily guaranteed 1 of Fitz, Smith, CJ, or Wayne. The guys sitting at 11 & 12 aren't going to go stud WR on both of their picks. Take the best RB at this spot and then the best remaining WR at 2.03.

I agree with you for the most part, although I saw several guys go WR/WR in the 11 or 12 hole last year. From what I recall, it worked out well or them.

i sometimes bother to actually look at the league scoring rules before i draft. there isn't alot, but it does state PPR, and only 4 points for td passes. i don't see taking manning in the 1st with such scoring.

being a PPR league i would think you'd want a good young RB with decent hands...sounds like ronnie brown to me, or at least FWP.

1 of them may, but both? IMO, that's highly unlikely with guys like Ronnie, SA, Rudi, FWP, MoJo, or Peyton still on the board. I'd say they are more likely to go RB/RB than WR/WR. The RB's left over at the 3/4 turn are often very slim pickings from a dynasty perspective.

I am not saying that a lot will go WR/WR, just that I saw a few do it last year, with mostly positive results. Every year is different though. If 2 solid RBs are falling to the 12/13 picks, then they would certainly be tempting. Starting with something like Rudi/MJD sounds pretty good to me.

Depends on your perspective. If you care more about success 3-5 years from now, take a QB or WR here (or trade down). If you want to win this year, take the RB.

FYI: I went Steve Smith/Holt last year in one initial draft, with mixed results. Those 2 picks panned out, my later round picks didn't so much. It's certainly a workable strategy. If I was sitting at 11, I'd actually consider the opposite of what I would do at 10 since I'm abivalent on some of the remaining RB options: maybe take Fitz 1st, see which RB's the #12/13 turn takes and chose among the remaining. Fitz and then say MoJo or Parker or Peterson would be a nice way to start off a new dynasty team.

i still say, if i didn't get a top 3 pick, i'd trade down, and pick up an extra 2nd. who needs a 1st round pick if you can get shaun in the 2nd round. youth, and potential are nice, but i need at least 2 stud RB's.

why was only fitz, and manning in the run-off.....this draft just lost any credibility that it may have had with me.
