Startup Dynasty Drafts (1 Viewer)

HyperActive 3- Starts May 11th

Backyard Brawl III- starts May 3rd

I know the latest versions of MOX are coming up as well. Post the link to your startup here.
we kick off draft weekend....April 26th 8AM easternMisfits and Outlaws Xtreme SUPER-flex--1

Misfits and Outlaws Xtreme SUPER-flex--2

we'll use 2 flex, where 1 is standard RB/WR/TE and the 2nd SUPER-flex position can be any position, including QB--K--D

ppr for RB (.5) WR (1.0) and TE(1.5) is slightly different than our HP scoring (0-1-2 ppr)

there are additional points for long range TD's (over 40 pass, catch or run =+2), decimal on FG's over 30 as well as a couple others

There's a new Zealots syndicate starting this year (12 - 12 team leagues). Looks like they'll be drafting in May, so that info should be out there for the summer startups.

Should we pin this sometime to view results?
It actually would be nice to pin this and pin another thread called 2008 Rookie Drafts. It gives an idea of where the rookies go in the already existing Dynasty Leagues that are just performing a rookie draft. :2cents:

The good doctor I presume? First off, thanks for the scoring. I can see that some scoring would be helpful in digesting these drafts. On your league, what exactly about that line-up requirement should clue me in? If I'm reading that right, it looks like there are zero TE requirements, although the scoring dangles a PPR carrot of .5 higher per reception. That's a line-up/scoring that justifies 2 TEs in the 3rd round of a start-up dynasty? Looking at the stats from last season, Witten had 81 recs for 941/6... figure 120+94+36 with the PPR incentive [250 total in normal scoring]. Probably near his ceiling. Welker, who went after these TEs, had 105 recs, for 1072/9... figure 105+107+54 = 266 total points. For me, I'd never rely on TEs to carry me based on a .5 PPR incentive. WRs available there included TJ Hous, Chad Johnson, Welker, Holmes, Jennings, Burress, Evans, White. Holt and Owens would probably outscore them for a couple years, although I understand shying from them in an innaugural dynasty draft. I don't have time to do the math but I'd hazzard every one of those WRs outscored or nearly outscored Witten/Winslow despite the PPR incentive given a WRs normal increase in recs/yardage/TDs. JMHO. But again, thanks for providing scoring to put it into perspective.

I'm in BB2, with same scoring, and most of those WR's did not outscore Witten/Winslow. Those TE's outscored some of the WR's you mentioned by 50-80 points.

So I'd say they were solid picks in that scoring format.

Witten was #5 WR overall last year with this scoring. Huge value picks on both guys.
It looks like the numbers for Witten that I got from Sportsline were wrong... I do see that he would score significantly higher than my math in this scoring. Call me a skeptic on the TE incentive. Year to year it's hard for me to fathom a TE consistently keeping up with WR production.

For those of us that cannot get to MFL at work can we get some of the drafts posted in this thread? TIA...
Maybe this will help you get to MFL.
Blocked as well....
This is a repost from MFL.comCorporate Filter Work-Around How To

Some companies choose to "block" access to the MyFantasyLeague.com site since they (or their firewall software vendor) deem the web site to be not work related. If you're currently having problems accessing the site from work, the following instructions will show a work-around that might help you circumvent this block.

But first, an important disclaimer!

Please note that most companies these days have very strict policies regarding what is appropriate and inappropriate uses of company computers. Some companies may go as far as to have a policy stating that if you do attempt to circumvent their "blocking" efforts, what the consequences would be to you. So, we strongly encourage you to not just blindly follow these instructions if you are having access problems from inside your corporate network, but first, find out about any company policies that might be in place, and the penalties for violating those policies.

You have been warned!

(Again, only follow these instructions if you are having problems accessing the site from inside a corporate network that is "blocking" access to your MyFantasyLeague.com league pages.)

1. Figure out what server your league resides on. To do that, either go to your league home page from home (or someplace else from where you're not blocked), or ask one of your league mates what server you are on. The "server" is the part of your league home page address after the "http://" - so, if your league home page address was, say, http://football5.myfantasyleague.com/2008/home/12345 , the "server" would be football5.myfantasyleague.com.

2. Given your "server" listed above, look up your "IP Address" in this table below.

football.myfantasyleague.com = 64.73.54.11

football2.myfantasyleague.com = 64.73.54.15

3. Given your original league home page address, replace the "server" part of the address with the "IP address" above, which will give you your "alternative home page address". In other words, if your original league home page address was http://football5.myfantasyleague.com/2008/home/12345 , your alternative league home page address would be http://64.73.54.21/2008/home/12345

4. From inside your corporate network, try going to your "alternative league home page address" - most, but not all, blocking software will not be able to block based on this new address, so hopefully you will be able to get through.

So, just to emphasize a couple of important things:

1) only do these steps if you are currently having problems accessing your league pages from inside a corporate network.

2) only do these steps if you fully understand how doing them might be in violation of your corporate computing policies, and what the consequences of violating those policies might be.

3) understand that we reserve the right to move your league to a different "server" at any time (without notifying you of that beforehand), which therefore will mean you'll have to update your "IP address" accordingly.

How many developmental players can one have?
You can have as many as you want, but there can only be 14 in the league. So once the 14th gets picked, that will be the end of the developmental picks until next year's developmental draft.

also, your taxi squad is one player. The others (if you choose to have more than 1 developmetal player, which one or two guys already have), take a roster spot. Only 22 man rosters with ten starters, so that makes having a bunch of these somewhat dicey (I have none, and likely won't get one)

I drafted in this draft and would be happy to answer any questions about it
Thanks. When des the rookie draft start? You do have an unusual scoring system. You can start 0 running backs. Do you think with RBBC's that will be a trend(starting less that 2 RB's).
Unless we decide to kick it off early, the rookie draft is scheduled to start a week from Monday.I do expect to see some 0 RB line-ups. I drafted to run a 1-2 RB line-up, and was probably the only person that drafted with the intention of running a 2 TE set most weeks.

gutsy strategy. awesome wr's and with not having a starting rb you'll be able to to pick early next year and maybe be stacked for 2009 or 2010.
