Stash Away Jerramy Stevens? (1 Viewer)

PPR League.

1 pt every 10 yards receiving.

With Jerramy Stevens supposed to be back for the October 15th seahawks game, do I pick him up from the WW and stash him away? My starting TE is Ben Troupe, and with TEs like Owen Daniels being the best on the wire, I'm basically screwed. :-P

I just want 3-4 catches a game and decent yardage.

What do you think?

I've also been offered Desmond Clark for Troy Williamson, but I doubt I'd do that. My other WRs are: r. moss, matt jones, chambers, and lee evans.

Ben Troupe with Vince Young doing whatever it is he does.

or

Jeremy Stevens catching Matt Hasselbeck passes.

There's your answer.

If you have a not very good player to drop for what will be an okay but unspectacular TE then go ahead. To me. Stevens can be a TE10-TE15 so I don't know that he will be a huge difference maker but more an OK player if your TE spot is killing you.

With the addition of Deion Branch, will Jerramy Stevens see the play that he saw last season? Plus, there was preseason talk that Seattle's offensive line may need Stevens to block more, which would result in fewer plays for him. Is this true?

Jerramy Steven's was a nice sleeper TE pick for me last year and I've been waiting to hear more on him this year.

Stevens might get you as many catches as drops.

He's got bricks for hands I tell ya. But he may be a better option than Troupe.

You could almost grab whatever TE plays DET in a given week and get decent numbers at the position. DET is not doing well covering short passes over the middle. Wiggins gets decent targets so the potential is there.

From another thread:

QUOTE(Brintey Spears @ Oct 9 2006, 12:23 PM)

Watched the Mike Holmgren Show last night, and Mike said there is no chance he will play this week.

They were gonna do another MRI just to check up on how the bone is "knitting" he said. Whatever that means.

He said he hopes he would be ready for the following game.

Also, Jerramy Stevens supposed to be back THIS week.

So, in light of this info, what is the prognosis on Stevens' involvement in the SEA passing game? With the four wideout sets, it would not seem positive, but with SA out, they may need to throw more overall.

Right now, Clark is killing me with his measly 3-4 targets a game. Seems Stevens on WW is better option than the others out there (Troupe, Scaife, Wiggins, Wrightster) but looking for some other opinions.
