Stat Change In The KC vs. Oakland Game - KC Sacks Reduced From 10 to 9 (1 Viewer)

Hi guys...

It appears that there was a change in the stats from Sunday's Chiefs vs. Raiders game and they now show that Pryor was sacked 9 times (originally was 10). On NFL.com, there is a video clip saying 'KC Defense Sacks Pryor 10 Times' and the video clip goes through all 10 sacks and shows each one. The stat change has altered the outcome of one of the games in our league. Does anyone have any experience with this...and/or can anyone shed some light on what the commish of our league should do?

You gotta go by the stats. Stat changes happen. Sucks when they go against you, but that's not fair to change the rules because a team lost because of a stat correction.

Thanks for the responses guys. Unfortunately, there is nothing in place in our league for stat changes during the following week. Appreciate the time and consideration from you guys...and for your suggestions and comments.

Well, there are stat changes most weeks. So if you've never changed them before, I'd recommend not starting now.

Just be aware it's a not-too-uncommon thing, and if you want to be ready for when it happens in the future, it's a rule you ought to talk about or think about putting in place for upcoming seasons.

I assume it was decided that Pryor was a designed runner on one of the sacks.

But that's just a wild guess.

Win by more than 1 and it's not a problem.

That was a mistake.

Fix it so you don't have this problem again.

We have a rule that states games are not official until Thursday at 11 am. On myfantasyleague, there is an option to automatically apply stat changes either at or until (I don't remember exact wording) 10 am Thursday every week. As Commish, I've made sure teams understand that these changes correct what was originally wrong or an error in scoring.

Just checked the details...

Logged in under Commissioner...

Under For Commissioners, click on Statistsics Changes (2nd item down).

On this page, all statistics changes for the season are shown, with the most recent week at the top.

At the very top of the page, the following text is shown with a checkbox and Save Settings button to the right:

"Check this box to automatically apply all stat changes for all weeks of the season on Thursdays at 10:00am ET:"

As previous posters have mentioned, the handling of statistics changes should be clearly spelled out in the rules, and the best place to start regular auto-updates is at the start of a new season.

I went from first to third from that. Such is life. My only question thoug is didn't kc def recover a fumble on that last sack?
