Still alive, but I feel I have no shot at winning it. I should be able to continue a few more weeks, but who knows. The way I see it, is you pretty much have to avoid injuries/benchings (obviously). Saying that some of the guys on my team:

Brandon Jackson

Sammy Morris

Devery Henderson

Ernest Wilford

Not that these guys are my studs, but with them disappearing, my team is not long for this contest?

Just looking for some chime-ins. Who else's team is still alive, but hit hard? I'd imagine some Leinart, AJ, Javon Walker etc. owners are not pumped at this time.

still alive.. lucky this past week because of Welker's big week. Rudi is my top RB and his points have only counted for me in week 2. Hopefully he comes back and I do have Kevin Jones.. So, if he can come back and play well the 2nd half, I might be alright for the next couple weeks too.

Because of 2 injuries and 3 byes, I only have 1 rb playing this week (Edge) and he has a bad matchup.

The closest I've been to the cut line was 25 points, so I'm not losing hope.

Still alive after a high scoring week 6. I was within 10 and 20 points of elimination in weeks 4 and 5.

Hits- Favre, McGahee, MB3, Curtis, Welker, Crayton

Misses- Leinart, Wade, Scaife (my only TE), Jarrett

Still alive and I feel I've done a very nice job in picking Wr's:

Housh

S. Holmes

Crayton

McDonald

Roddy White

C. Henry

1 more, can't think of it but decent

I have Lt2 but my longshot Rb's have done anything. I have Tatum Bell and TJ Duckett. Both stink and will continue to stink.

I have Leon Washington and Betts. I thought by this time one of them would have gotten the starting role but that hasn't emerged.

Romo and Kitna as the two Qb's. They've been pretty productive and healthy so that's helped.

I think those that have A. Peterson and Tomlinson will be the guys to beat. Those two should be solid the rest of the way.

Mine's a staff entry and I'm not eligible for the grand prize. I feel I'm in pretty good shape with my squad. Probably didn't need to go with 3 QBs but it could pay dividends if I stick around long enough...

I decided to grab solid starters at QB and RB and go with high risk guys at receiver. I have some terrible misses at receiver (Jarrett, Jacoby Jones) but all in all the strategy has worked pretty well. If I can get Alexander and Green back on track I'll have a shot.

I'm with ya... I went for lotto tickets... some paid off - ADP, Braylon, Watson, but some have just gotten knocked out (leinhart, watson, glenn). Terry Glenn they made ya pay a lot for, even though we knew it'd be awhile. Shoulda known better. My strat was 4QBs, 3 Ds deep... curious what others did.

ya liar... "solid starters at RB"... ya grabbed a rookie behind the depth chart (C Talyor) in ADP, MBIII who was, has, and will be in a RBBC, and Ahman who changed teams., and was waaaaay down every draft I'd seen.. nice reach with "solid starters". Ya lucked out with ADP, like I did. Shaun is the ONLY "solid starter" ya grabbed.

I'm still hanging on.....got carried by Schaub, Housh, S Morris (when healthy), Culpepper saved with me with his 5 td week, and Crayton....hoping for SJax and Brees to help out more going forward.....but I have a lot of non-contributors, too: B Quinn, W Dunn, A Peterson (Chi), D Rhodes, S Morris, D Henderson, J Jones.....

Every week i think I'm gonna be out of it after the Sunday night game and wake up tuesday morning to find i survive by the skin of my teeth. Should only be a few more weeks before Im out though. next week is the big one due to Byes. will be interesting.

I am alive but probably won't stay around too long.

I have QB's two of which no longer have starting jobs (Grossman & Harrington) all I have left is Garrard.

I missed the cut by 1 point last week. I have been playing with Norwood as my only rb for a few weeks now and have eked out. I get Addai back this week but Rudi has hurt.

Addai, Jacobs, AJ haven't helped me recently, but they hopefully will later

Welker, McDonald, ADP, Garrard, EJ were good picks

This week could be rough with Gates and the above injuries, but if I can make it through this week, I should be ok barring catastrophe.

QB - Carson Palmer - 26 :excited:

QB - David Garrard - 2 :banned:

RB - Joseph Addai - 46 :banned:

RB - Brandon Jacobs - 26

RB - Adrian Peterson - 23

RB - Ahmad Bradshaw - 1

RB - Tony Hunt - 1

WR - Andre Johnson - 33 :excited:

WR - Bernard Berrian - 16

WR - Santonio Holmes - 14

WR - Ronald Curry - 8

WR - Ted Ginn - 4

WR - Wes Welker - 3

WR - Chris Henry - 2

TE - Eric Johnson - 1

PK - Ryan Longwell - 1

PK - Nick Folk - 1

TD - Denver Broncos - 4

TD - Houston Texans - 1

Aside from injuries, only Ginn and the Denver D disapointed me. With Chambers in SD, Ginn might just come around.

Ok, so a couple of my $1 RBs suck, but they are $1 RBs.

Still in and riding the one RB train.. also the two WR train. two weeks in a row, I have had both my TEs score. Need to get SJAx, DJ Hackett, Sammy Morris back and Jacoby Jones needs to start doing something. Thankfully, made it through week five wtih Carson and Housh on bye..

I have David Garrard and only paid 2 bucks for him....oh wait, so does everyone else.

I was debating between Cadillac Williams and Adrian Peterson for my RB3 spot...went with Caddy. Doh.

My team hasn't been close to the cut line yet, and this week was 200+. I like this team to go for a while, as I'm mostly past byes and have some upside guys ( KJ, LJ - schedule, Rivers - Chambers ) I hope will be better 2nd half.

Hits - Welker, Crayton, ADP, Leonard

Misses - Jacoby Jones, D. Graham

3 QB ( Rivers, Harrington, Garrart ), 3 Ks, 3 Ds has worked so far, getting me at least 12 from K each week and something from my D's

I am woefully weak at WR and TE. Brady at QB has been huge. Went with 4 RB's that havae skill and potential: LJ, Addai, ADP, A. Green. I'm too embarrased at this point to list my WR's (but I think Mush might be my most expensive). I like Cooley at TE due to his low ownership %, but paired him with D. Graham to be below average. K's suck, and 4 $1 defenses seem to get a decent score each week. If my scrubs get a couple catches I should be OK.

Despite a ton of RB injuries, I'm still plodding along. If I was gonna do anything different, I'd take a harder look at depth at WR.

1 change would have made me solid - using the $ from B. Jackson, L. Washington, and Scaife on A.Peterson, D.Lee & $1 RB/WR. I was so close to doing it too. ugh. The only reason I didn't was I have ADP in every league I'm in, and wanted to "mix it up" a bit for this contest - stupid.

I hope you're right. Last week those two carried me to 225+ points. Unfortunately, my other two RB's are Caddy & Deuce, so this week I'm looking to hang on by my fingernails. Somehow I made it through ADP's bye even with Holmes, Bruce, Berrian, Curry and Jacoby Jones combining for a total of 2 points. I need Chester to come down with the flu this morning so ADP gets all the carries or some other miracle this week and I'll feel pretty good for the rest of the season.

So far still in it, closest to elimination last week, made the cut by 9. Apparently my strength is picking TE more often than not I have double digits from em, and have had 2 score for me. Hit a couple times on my lower level WR, Randle El, Davis and Rice

Way I figure it based on past performance I am probably out somewhere around week 9/10

Good or bad, right or wrong, I had Ahman Green and Marion Barber being pretty good fantasy starters this year throughout the preseason. That hasn't paid off yet with injuries plus general ineffectivenessto Green and Julius Jones continuing to get lots of playing time (I thought Barber would emerge as the guy this year) but that was the thought process behind the picks. The Texans offensive line had done very well in terms of rushing stats over the past few years and I thought Green had one more year left in him as a possible top-15. Boy has that worked out well for me. Peterson was taken as I thought we would get mor and more work as the season wore on.I thought clearly the strength of the team would be at QB and RB. If Alexander can find his form and Ahman Green can get hot, I'll be in good shape.
