OK, imagine unthinkable. The Steelers get eliminated in the AFC Championship game in NE (after we lose to them at Foxboro in Wk 14, :violent vomit shudder:)...

However, you know you'll watch Superbowl XLII, and you'll either conscious or unconsciously cheer for one team, so who would it be?

Me, I'm going to cheer for Dallas.

:violent vomit shudder:

In reality, of course, we'll upset NE in their house, beat them at Hienz Field, and go on to whip DAL in Superbowl XLII. (This is the best case scenario, of course--us vs DAL, to avenge SBXXX!)

:D

One for the Winkie!

You know what? I like Wade also, but I still hate Dallas... as a team...

...but I love having Romo and Witten on my fantasy teams!

Too tough to vote on that one. Dallas would win a 6th trophy, but currently I hate the Pats more. Both teams disgust me so much I wouldn't even be able to put money on one team so I could come up with a win-win situation.

For me it would be how the Pats beat the Steelers to get to the Superbowl. If the Pats come out and dominate the game and clearly prove they are better than the Steelers, then I route for the Pats (because I can't stand Dallas..mainly TO and Jerry Jones). If the Pats get a lucky win and what appears that the Steelers outplayed them on the field but not properly reflected on the scoreboard, then I hope Dallas would beat the snot out of the Pats because the Pats didn't prove they belong in the big game, they just got lucky.

Thats generally how I route for teams anyway....I despite the "lucky" ones and love the ones who prove dominance over opponents.

Dallas isn't going to the Super Bowl. Is it me, or do they ALWAYS start off hot? I'm thinking Seattle, Carolina or Chicago will make it - and most likely face N.E. or Indy.

I'd cheer for N.E.

As a die-hard Steeler fan, that Super Bowl matchup would be my worst nightmare. I have always hated Dallas. I was really indiffrent on New England the past few years and didn't root/for against them in their Super Bowl games. But with all the BS, the cheating, and the arrogance out of Brady, Moss and Belicheck. New England absolutely makes me sick. And the fact that they probably cheated to beat Pittsburgh in the AFC championship games even makes me more sick.

I would love to see Brady tear and ACL more than anyone else in the NFL.

I don't think it will be these two teams, but if it was, I'd unfortunately have to root for the Pats.

I would hate to see the Pats win another one, but as an Eagles fan I'd probably lose it if Dallas won. Seriously. I HATE Dallas.

Although the Dallas fans around here are pretty smart and sensible. They give Dallas fans a good rep. Maybe one day Philly and Dallas can learn to coexist...

 I am so sick of hearing of Billichick the genius that I would prefer a team with Osama as HC, Saddam as OC and Hitler as DC hoisting the SB trophy than Bill B doing it again. If the Steelers don't make it and the Patriots do I can guarantee I'll be rooting for the NFC team.

 no, great posting Historicly I root for the AFC team in the SB no matter who it is. As much as I cant stand Dallas, I would still root for the NFC if this was the case.
