-A Win by the Steelers would all but lock up the North with a 2 game lead over the Ravens
-Eagles have an opportunity to pull up beside Detroit if the Lions were to fall at home to the Buffalo Bills

Lot riding on this football game for both teams
GO!

The narrative is AJ Brown will get a squeaky wheel game but I think the Eagles will get the ball to him if it fits the game plan. Otherwise they keep pounding Saquon.

Will Russ cook without his main squeeze?
Will Hurts throw the ball to his big squeeze?
Is there a trophy for "Best NFL Team in Pennsylvania"?
I think The Steelers will try to run and control clock.
I think The Eagles will try to run because that's how they've been winning.
So I see a lot of trying to run in this game.
Tough call
But I'll venture a guess...

Philadelphia Team- 25
Pittsburgh Team- 19

I don't think this one will be particularly close. Eagles getting some starters back, Steelers sitting some starters for the game. Feels like the Steelers are already looking ahead to next week for a big division game. I don't see the Steelers being able to do much on offense. I think the Eagles O will wear down the Steelers D.

31-13 Eagles.

This. The game is way more important for the Eagles than the Steelers. The Eagles are also fully healthy and the Steelers are not. I would love for a close game but I don’t expect that and I really don’t even care (other than having to deal with the aftermath of obnoxious Eagles fans in my house). The biggest game of the season for the Steelers is next week. Just want to be healthy going into that.

Did anyone watch the Panthers and Eagles last week?

Steelers 23...Eagles 20

Some observations from last week:

1. Thielen really took DeJean to school last week with his route running. He was amazing in the slot and had a bunch of really huge catches to keep a couple drives alive for CAR. I don't see any of the Steeler WRs being able to do that to DeJean.

2. Bryce Young did a great job with his legs and hurt the Eagles a couple times running. Don't see Wilson doing that.

3. Eagles are getting Blankenship back at safety. McCollum filled in admirably but was sometimes out of position and a step slow on some of his assignments.

Ok sorry everyone. I hate to say this and I don't want to see any injuries. But the only way the Steeler's win....... If Kenny Pickett plays 3 or more quarters.

Tell eagles fans they can not be in your home tomorrow lol.

Actually it’s mostly my 10 year old son’s friends. I’m just shipping those boys to the basement. Other than that, we have one of our closest couples friends coming over and they’re fine.

I like the Steelers, but they matchup terribly with Philly, and I think this is gonna be a beatdown.

I think the Steelers offense struggles to do much of anything. I think their OL loses the LOS, and none of their WRs win 1-1s. They'll miss Pickens a lot in this one.

For the Eagles, they are arguably the only team in the league who won't necessarily lose the LOS to the Steelers, and they'll win almost every 1-1. I do think the squeaky wheel gets the grease here (unlike other squeaky wheels, Brown is playing as well as ever, when he actually gets the ball) but I think its a nice setup for DeVonta Smith too, as he'll see a lot of rookie Beanie Bishop. I think Barkley likely hits a big play or 2, but I don't see this as a sustained success game with him this week, and think the Eagles could look to get him involved more as a pass catcher than normal, at until they establish a solid lead.

CAR also got lucky several times, most notably on a deflected pass in the red zone that Thielen caught.

Agree with the sentiment that the Eagles win this one. The Steelers have some key injuries and have 3 games against the Eagles, Ravens and Chiefs in a span of 10 days.

The biggest game is next week vs the Ravens and of all three, the Eagles game is the least important.

The key here for the Steelers is to come out of this one healthy.

The way Steelers fans in this thread are talking about this game it seems it is a done deal. No need to play at all. The Steelers want to be healthy for the Ravens. Let's just roll the clock ahead a few hours, give the Eagles the win, get ready for the real game that matters.....Eagles 12-2, Steelers 10-4.....bring on the Ravens!

Sorry boys, that is not how it is done.

This game will be a backyard brawl. Scratching, clawing, kicking, swinging for the full 60 minutes. When the turf dust settles the margin of victory will be small. It would not surprise me to see this game finish in overtime.

Eagles 31
Steelers 28

It will not be a backyard brawl. Steeler's literally have no wide receiver playing today who anyone would roster in ff and that's problematic. Calvin Austin III is ranked 59 in ESPN PPR rankings for week 15. In retrospective AJ is ranked 13 and DeVonta is ranked 37. Eagles will be ready for the Steeler's 2 TE sets and will more than likely focus on stopping the run if they even need to.

Steelers Likely Gave Saquon Barkley Some Extra Motivation Going Into Big Clash In Philadelphia

How's the weather in Philly?

Counterpoint, if all the luck CAR had earlier in the game never happened, that drop at the end of the game would have been irrelevant. That Thielen catch that was tipped and landed right to him was on 4th down, CAR scored on that drive. If they don't have that luck, they don't score, it's a turnover on downs, and the Eagles get the ball with 4:59 left in the 3rd up 14-10, instead of down 16-10 with 2:49 left in the 3rd.

Ha. That's why I won't go to a game after October.

Also for.not playing offense for large portions of the game

I don’t think the Steelers will mail it in. They’re certainly going to try to win the game.

However it is a road game, they have a couple of important players out and they’re playing a damn good team.

As a fan I want them to win but I also understand that of the four remaining games on their schedule, this is the least important

I appreciate your counter points. I just have a gut feeling it will not be so easy for the Eagles today.

I don’t see a world in which the Steelers can keep up with the eagles. Frankly I’ll be shocked if they can score over 20 points. Birds firing on all cylinders. I think it’s a good-not-great game from AJ, definitely take an anytime TD bet on him. They won’t fall into the trap of force feeding him though. Eagles continue doing what has been working for them. Jump on their throats in the third quarter and a heavy dose of Saquon in the fourth quarter to salt it away.

Birds win going away 38 - 17
