6-10 IMO ........ I don't understand why you think they will be that much improved over last year without cohwer and with a very similar team. New coach, new scheme.....doesn't look good.

When was the last time Cincinnati swept Pittsburgh? A loss in Arizona? A loss at home to the Seahawks with a washed-up Shaun Alexander? A loss to the Jets, a team that I believe has beaten the Steelers once or maybe twice in their franchise history?Plus, at worst, they'll split the Jacksonville/St. Louis games. I think 10 wins or more is likely.

The scheme will not be that new. Bruce Arians, the new OC, has been on our staff for several years and has promised to keep the playbook somewhat similiar to Whisenhunt's, but tweaked here and there. Tomlin will also not be changing the defense from the 3-4 next year. And you say that the Steelers have "a veyr similiar team" like it's a bad thing, which it isn't. The Steelers last year had a 12 win caliber team that just had a lot of bad breaks, much of it being Roethlisberger's poor play after his injuries. The roster is definetly good enough to get double digit wins again.Cincinnati will not sweep us... people get caught up in the Cincy lovefest a lot because of their high powered pass game and outspoken style, but Pittsburhg is the better team between the 2 of them. We have a better chance to sweep them than they do to us.

More like 6-10 or 8-8 if things go well for them.
Care to make a wager on 7 wins?
If not much changes for them between now and then hell ya I would. Please bring this up at the beging of September. If big ben was out for the year I doubt you would still want to make the wager....too much can happen, but please get back to me.
I'll be in for $50 with Ben.

My take:

Sept. 9 -- at Cleveland, 1 p.m. WIN

Sept. 16 -- Buffalo, 1 p.m. WIN

Sept 23 -- San Francisco, 1 p.m. LOSS - SF will be a good football team next year and Pitt has a habit of loosing some early games they should win.

Sept. 30 -- at Arizona, 4:15 p.m. WIN

Oct. 7 -- Seattle, 1 p.m. WIN

Oct. 16 -- bye

Oct. 21 -- at Denver, 8:15 p.m. WIN - Traveling across country was made easier thanks to a bye week.

Oct. 28 -- at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. LOSS - Coming home will be hard.

Nov. 5 -- Baltimore, 8:30 p.m. (75th anniversary night) WIN - Can't wait for this game!

Nov. 11 -- Cleveland, 1 p.m. WIN

Nov. 18 -- at NY Jets, 1 p.m. LOSS - NYJ should improve a bit this year and will sneak up on the Steelers.

Nov. 26 -- Miami, 8:30 p.m. WIN

Dec. 2 -- Cincinnati, 8:15 p.m. WIN

Dec. 9 -- at New England, 1 p.m.(could be changed to 4:15 p.m.) LOSS - NE is going to be a force and they just seem to have our number.

Dec. 16 -- Jacksonville, 1 p.m. LOSS - Another team that just seems to give the Steelers a hard time.

Dec. 20 -- at St. Louis (Thursday), 8:15 p.m. WIN - Pitt pulls off a late season win to secure the playoffs!

Dec. 30 -- at Baltimore, 1 p.m. LOSS - Good thing they sealed the playoffs the prior week because Balt is talented and PO'd after loosing the Nov mathup on National TV.

10-6, WC! :moneybag:

What's up Slappy? Still sticking with our wager for 7 wins?

I'll gladly take some of that action too.

The Steelers definately have one of the easier schedules in the league IMO. They should be able to manage at least 9 wins. I'm just not sure how far they go in the playoffs? :D

I actually like what they did this offseason and what I have seen in the preseason so far. I think they will be around a 9 win team.
