AFC - South - Titans win - Playoff team #1

AFC - West - Broncos or Chargers win - Playoff team # 2

That leaves 4 playoff spots for the AFC. Most probale 5 teams competing for the 4 spots are:

New York Jets

New England

Baltimore

Indianapolis

Pittsburg

Pittsburg has the remaining schedule which is tough:

week 13 - @ New England

week 14 - vs Dallas

week 15 - @ Baltimore

week 16 - @ Tennessee

week 17 - vs Cleveland

New England has the remaining schedule which is soft:

week 13 - vs Pittsburg

week 14 - @ Seattle

week 15 - @ Oakland

week 16 - vs Arizona

week 17 - @ Buffalo

New York Jets has the remaining schedule which is soft:

week 13 - vs Denver

week 14 - @ San Francisco

week 15 - vs Giants

week 16 - @ Seattle

week 17 - vs Miami

Indianapolis has the remaining schedule which is soft:

week 13 - @ Cleveland

week 14 - vs Cincinatti

week 15 - vs Detroit

week 16 - @ Jacksonville

week 17 - vs Tennessee

Baltimore has the remaining schedule which is medium:

week 13 - @ Cincinatti

week 14 - vs Washington

week 15 - vs Pittsburgh

week 16 - @ Dallas

week 17 - vs Jacksonville

After looking at these remaining schedules, It looks very likely that the winner of the Pittsburgh/ Baltimore game in week 15 makes the playoffs as division champs and the loser will be watching the playoffs from home.

Your thoughts ?

my thought?...

that week 15 game against Baltimore is gonna be a big one for them.

I prefer to be an optimist. Right now, the Steelers have the bye week. If the Titans lose at least one more game before they play the Steelers, then the Steeler/Titan game could be for home field advantage.

The point is, the Steelers need to keep winning. If they don't, they probably won't do much in the playoffs anyhow.

I think they crush Dallas (20-6 next week) and Cleveland at home. They need to beat Baltimore and they are in.
Interesting, Dallas leads the league in sacks right now with 40 (granted they did it 12 games) and Pittsburgh is leading the league in sacks allowed. This past Thursday Romo looked completely healed and their offense is gaining rythym. While I do think this game will be close I see Dallas winning because of the extra prep time. Dont overlook the Dallas defense outside of the Giants game they have held to opposing offenses to 9, 10, 22, and 9 points respectively. The 22 points was to San Francisco and a majority came after the game was well out of reach.

I'm a die hard Steeler fan and I've got us beating New England today, but losing to Dallas next week at home. Like simmon said above, they lead the league in sacks and that is the only major concern when I look at opposing defenses. Our O-line cannot stop a good pass rush. He made a good point with Dallas having the extra time off to prepare too.

We win 1 out of the 2 against Baltimore or Tenn and we'll be fine. There's no way 11-5 keeps us out of the playoffs.

I dislike the Steelers more than any other team but the Browns. I really can't see them doing worse than 3-2 down the stretch. They are better than Baltimore and Cleveland. If Barber does not play, they will handle to Cowboys.

I don't see Baltimore going 4-1 down the stretch to take the AFC North. The only easy game they have is today.

Steelers are about as stone cold lock as there is in the AFC to make the playoffs after the Titans.

I got the Steelers going 3-2 down the stretch. Got em taking the Titans & Browns, and should win one of the Balt, NE, Dallas games (most likely NE).

Everyone keeps looking at the Steelers "tough" schedule. In the position that they are in right now, if they don't win enough games to make it in, they don't deserve to make it in. I think if the Steelers go 11-5, they are in. If they can't do that, they shouldn't make it.

:lmao: :towelwave: :towelwave:

I've said it before, as a Titans fan, the Steelers are the team that "scares" me the most.

I still think Baltimore has a good shot at winning the division when its all said and done. Steelers still get in as wildcard team or potential division winner. Even at 10-6 (assuming Steelers lose 3 of their next 4) I still think they make the playoffs. Indy has been winning ugly several times and the AFC east is sliding back into mediocrity.

Actually of the Dallas, Baltimore and Tenn games...Pitt has the best chance at winning the Tennessee game.
