The Stepping Stone 2 Challenge is an opportunity to let $75 take you to the WCOFF/FFPC or other high stakes game in Las Vegas (of, course what you do with the grand prize money - $2,000 - is totally up to you)!

http://www3.myfantasyleague.com/2010/home/37213#0

There will be 60 Total Teams, divided into 5 divisions of 12 teams each, all competing for BOTH Divisional Prizes and OVERALL 1st and 2nd Place Money.

There are 60 teams at $75 or $4,500 in - take away league and PayPal fees and I am returning ($4,250) which is 95%.

The purpose of these leagues is to allow you to get into a league relatively cheaply ($75) and compete for a chance to win enough to pay for your entry fee and travel for the WCOFF/FFPC or other big money league in 2011 should you so chose. These leagues mimic in many ways the way these big money leagues run so that you have an opportunity to practice within a similar format with somewhat less competition prior to attending a bigger league in 2011. All you have to do is compete against the other 11 owners in your league and finish in the top four of your league. DOING SO WILL AT LEAST GET YOU YOUR MONEY BACK - and additionally, you then get to compete against the other divisions 4 finalists in a 20 team race to score the most points over a four week period. The winner here will get $2,000 with 2nd place getting $500.

Complete Rules

***IMPORTANT- The rules are sort of a "best of" rules that I borrowed from some of the bigger contests with a few “tweaks” on the playoff format. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

EACH OWNER MAY HAVE MORE 1 FRANCHISE IN THE CHALLENGE BUT CANNOT HAVE MORE THAN 1 FRANCHISE IN EACH DIVISION – MEANING THAT NO ONE OWNER MAY HAVE MORE THAN 5 TOTAL FRANCHISES.

1. Overview: The Stepping Stone 2 Challenge will consist of five (5) divisions - each composed of 12 teams. The regular season will extend from NFL Week 1 through NFL Week 11. Each Division will hold a Wild Card Playoff Game during NFL Week 12. This Wild Card Playoff Game will be between the 2nd Best Remaining Win/Loss Team vs. the 3rd Best Remaining Total Points For Team. Each Division will automatically send the top three teams to the playoffs who meet the following criteria.

Team 1: Best Win/Loss Record

Team 2: Highest Points For (but not the team with best W/L record)

Team 3: 2nd Highest Points For (but not the team with the best W/L record)

AND – the final team to make the playoffs will be

Team 4: Winner of the Week 12 Wild Card Playoff Game between 2nd Best team based on Win/Loss record (not already in the playoffs) vs. the 3rd Best Total Points Team (not already in the Playoffs).

PRIZE MONEY - Team #1 (the best divisional W/L record will win $125 while each of the other 3 "playoff teams" will get $75 (total of $350 per division)

2. Draft: All 5 Divisions will hold their drafts via an online “slow” draft starting on Saturday, August 22nd at 8 am ET with a timer of 12 hours per pick. Each division will be composed of 12 teams and each draft will last for 20 rounds, with each team selecting a player in each round in a serpentine fashion (team 1 through team 12, team 12 through team 1, team 1 through team 12, etc). There are no rules governing the number of players to be drafted at each position. It is up to the draft strategy of each team owner to decide. Draft order will be randomly determined after all teams have signed up and paid.

a. Time limit per pick: Each team will have 12 hours to make a pick – this does not mean you have to take that long – it is just the maximum amount of time that will exist for any one team. If a team does not make a selection in the allotted time, the www.myfantasyleague.com system will select the best player available for the team at that time based on its own system configuration. This team however will not be under computer control and will be able to select their next pick – it is ALWAYS wise to check in often during the draft and pre-draft when possible. Should any one franchise be deemed to consistently taking too long to draft - there team will be put on auto-pick UNTIL I hear that they are ready to resume drafting in a timely fashion.

b. Trading of draft picks/during season: No trading of any kind allowed.

3. Roster Requirements: Maximum of 20 players.

4. Lineup Requirements:

Starting lineups will consist of

1 QB

2 RB

2 WR

1 TE

2 Flex players (a RB or WR, or TE)

1 PK

1 Team Defense/Special team

(If no Week #1 lineup is submitted, the Commissioner will determine your starting line up based on draft order position – i.e. – your 1st QB drafted, your first 2 RB, your first 3 WR, your first TE, K and DT/ST – your flex players will become your 3rd RB and 3 WR selected. After Week #1, failure to change and/or submit a starting lineup will result in the system using the starting lineup of the previous week.)

Lineup Submission: Done via the website. All starters in early games are locked in as of kickoff for that game - all other starters are locked in as of start of their own gametime. As mentioned previously, if you submit no lineup changes for the week – you end up with the starters from the previous week! This can be deadly during NFL BYE weeks – so pay close attention!

5. Scoring: Basic PPR scoring -- WCOFF for the most part

6. Point Calculations: Team scoring will be carried out to the hundredth (e.g. a team may score 94.75 points).

7. Free Agents: Any player who is not on a team roster within your Division is considered a free agent for that Division.

8. Free Agent Acquisitions: The free agent system will be a “blind bidding” process. Each team will start with 1,000 free agent “dollars” for the season, and will be permitted to bid for free agents on a weekly basis. No team will be informed of any other team’s free agent bids until after the winning bids have been awarded. The team with the highest bid on any given player will be awarded that player. The amount of the winning bid will be deducted from the winning team’s free agent dollars. For each winning bid, the winning team must drop a player to make roster room for the free agent acquisition. If a team’s free agent dollars go to zero, that team will no longer be allowed to bid for the rest of the season. No bid will be accepted that is larger than a team's free agent dollars. All bids must be in increments of dollars (no cents).

9. Bidding Time Frame: The bidding process starts after the kickoff of Week 1 and ends prior to Week 11. Bids will be accepted on the league web site from Sundays at 1 pm ET until Thursdays at 11 pm ET in each of these weeks UNTIL THURSDAY NIGHT GAMES START at which point - 7pm ET becomes the new time, if applicable. Rosters will be updated by 11:00 pm ET Thursday nights with the results of all successful bids. There will be no free agent pickups after the completion of the regular season.

10. Conditional Bids: Conditional bids can also be offered. In the event you may lose out on a player, you can place conditional bid(s) for other players during the bidding time frame. The first conditional bid will become relevant only if you lose out on the first bid. Subsequent conditional bids will become relevant only if the previous conditional bid fails. Bids do not require conditional bids. Bids may have several sequential conditional bids, but may not include bidding on the same player more than once.

11. Number of Bid Limits: There is no limit to the number of bids each week in which bids are permitted.

12. Tied Bids: If there is a tie, the team that receives the player will be determined in order by:

1. Worst total points.

2. Worst won/lost record.

3. Worst previous week score.

4. Worst QB points total to date.

5. Coin toss.

13. Available Players: Teams may acquire players not on any roster within their league, with one exception. Players cut from a team after Week 9 may not be re-acquired by any team. This is done to minimize potential collusion.

14. Trades between managers: To minimize the possibility of collusion, there will be no trading allowed.

15. League Structure: Each team in a league will play all other teams in that league once over the first 11 weeks of the NFL season. That 11-game schedule will constitute the Stepping Stone Challenge regular season.

a. League Wildcard Playoff: Week #12 of the NFL season will determine each of the Division's Wild Card Teams by means of a single Wild Card Game. The two participants in the Wild Card game will be 1) the team with the 2nd best W/L record vs. 2) the remaining team with the 3rd highest point total. Each Wild Card winner from all 5 Divisions advances to the Playoffs.

The tiebreakers for the best records in each division after 11 games are:

1. Total points during the regular season

2. Head-to-head won/lost record

3. Total quarterback points (starting QB’s week 1 through week 11)

4. Total points in weeks 10 & 11

If there is a tie for the highest point leader in a given division, the aforementioned tiebreakers 2- 4 will be used.

If there is a tie in the Wild Card Game the tiebreakers are:

1. Total points during the regular season

2. Head-to-head in the regular season

3. Regular season won/lost record (weeks 1-11)

4. Quarterback points (starting in League Championship Game)

5. Total points in weeks 10 & 11

16. STEPPING STONE 2 Playoff Berths: All 15 automatically chosen Playoff Finalists (3 from each division), plus 5 wild card teams (1 from each division) will qualify for the Championship Bracket Playoffs.

.

17. STEPPING STONE 2 Fantasy Football Playoff Format: Each of the 20 playoff teams will be seeded based on their total fantasy points for the regular season. Furthermore, each team will begin the playoffs with their average point total from the regular season which include Week #12 points. This gives an advantage to the teams that performed best in the regular season. The WCOFF STEPPING STONES playoffs will extend four weeks, from NFL Week #13 through NFL Week #16.

As stated earlier - each DIVISION WINNER will get $125 and each of the other 3 Divisional "playoff" teams will get $75. The SEASON WINNER OF THE $2,000 Grand Prize and the 2nd Place Winner of $500 will be determined on the basis of total points scored from Week 13 though Week 16, plus their average point total from the regular season. .The team with the most total points will be crowned the STEPPING STONES GRAND CHAMP while SECOND PLACE will obviously be the team that just missed the big bucks!

18. Miscellaneous Information: A spreadsheet will be posted for Weeks #13-16 that summarizes the following info for all 20 teams.

- Starting Average Points

- Points Scored each week

- Total Points

- Points Behind

There about about 12 teams available - AGAIN - you can have more than 1 team - they just have to be in different divisions.
