Steve McNair vs Titans in Tennessee (1 Viewer)

I'm surprised that there hasn't been a topic about this yet, but it seems to me that Steve McNair returning to play against his old team would be a significant event this week. Any chance that he blows up for a huge week, or does the Titan defense know him so well that they shut him down? Or is it somewhere in between, with McNair having his usual mediocre game?

I tried to think of comparable games for QB's, and came up with these:

Drew Bledose's first game against New England (in Buffalo):

11/03/2002 New England 38, Buffalo 7 28-45 302 yards 1 TD 1 INT

Drew Bledose's first game back at New England:

12/08/2002 New England 27, Buffalo 17 32-51 328 yards 2 TD 4 INT

Kurt Warner's first game against St. Louis (in Arizona):

09/18/2005 STL 17, ARZ 12 29-42 327 yards 0 TD 1 INT

Kurt Warner's first game back in St. Louis:

11/20/2005 ARZ 38, STL 28 27-39 285 yards 3 TD 0 INT

I'm sure I'm missing other examples, and I'm not sure these are even relevant, but I thought I'd just throw it out there.

(On a side note, Jake Plummer plays the Cardinals for the first time in his career on December 17, in Arizona, but I think so much time has passed that it's not going to be a big deal.)

I'm starting Mcnair this week not because of the old team theory but because the titans blow. Playing his old team hopefully will give him extra incentive to play well...

Admittedly, I have a short memory, but I don't remember many QBs lighting up their old teams the year after they leave. Anyone have more concrete examples to disprove or prove?

Since Vince Young can't/doesn't pass often and BAL is the best defense vs. the run, I can see Billick letting McNair have a little fun vs. his former team after they get the lead. Heap still has a bit of a lingering ankle injury, so I'm hoping this is the week McNair and Mason put up some nice numbers and try to work on Pacman after his week off.

Then again, assumptions like that burned a lot of people last week, so it's just a hunch.
