Targets are still there, but where is the production? Watched the three possessions last week where Boss gets all of the redzone love and about lost it.

Any homers chime in on what the story is behind this?

What are the NYG?

I thought I understood who they were going into the season. Run first, rely on a stellar defense to win the turnover battle.

They are none of those things.

We didn't really know who would emerge from the 4 WRs. 10 games in, all we've really learned is Hixon is a better KRer than anyone realize, and Super Mario has stone hands. Nicks is a playmaker but is still a WR3, Manningham is coming off his 2nd best game, and Boss has become a RZ favorite.

Smith is involved every week on a relative basis, but he is what he is - a good route runner with a nose for the first down marker. The first four games was a nice bonus, but all that has happened since is he regressed to what was expected. For FF purposes, he's a solid WR3 (WR4 on my team with the emergence of MSW and hoping Jennings has turned it around).

Actually, if you remove Weeks 2-4 (28-331-4), it is remarkable how steady and consistent his production has been:

6-80-0

3-70-0

4-44-0

4-69-0

8-68-0

8-57-1

4-79-0

5.29 - 66.71 average

6.50 - 79.80 with the hot streak included

Not a guy you will ride to a trophy, but if any of your other options face a tough matchup, he's the rock steady guy you plug in as a safe option.

I have no complaints about my 11th round draft choice.

Valid points. I am not complaining but the great start raised my expectations. Kicking myself I turned down some of the offers during that hot streak.

I thought I'd take a look how smith did compared to other WRs in my main PPR league. Here we go:

Week 1: T-21st

Week 2: 3rd

Week 3: T-14th

Week 4: 1st

Week 5: T-34th

Week 6: T-41st

Week 7: T-26th

Week 8: 16th

Week 9: T-13th

Week 10: BYE

Week 11: T-29th

Overall: 9th

I'd say, offhand, as the Giants slumped, Smith slumped as well. Also, Nicks emerging has cut into his numbers a bit but overall, I don't see how someone could complain about the production of a guy who puts ups WR2/3 points and occasionally WR1 points for a guy who was likely drafted as a WR3/4.

Considering how poorly Eli was playing prior to the bye, I think he put up respectable numbers. He's getting double-teamed now, which is opening things up for Manningham and Nicks.

pulled the trigger just before last week to a nyg fan that was hurting at wr. Got back Vernon Davis and threw in Heath Miller to boot. Am very happy as I have depth at wr, but yeah that streak had everyone's hopes soaring high for him. Eli looks for the open man, so don't think he can't have another 120-2td game, but the Ds are focusing on him, which opens up for the rest of the team. last week's recipient was the boss man. He will though, as stated, get you a steady 6-70, which is rock solid in PPR, not too great in non ppr, but consistent...
