was talking like it was business as usual and looking forward to playing against deangelo hall. coach fox said he hurt the hammy yesterday, but smith didn't seem different about his plans for the game this weekend.

did anyone else hear anything different in that interview?

I heard the interview. He never said anything about re-aggravating or tweking the other hamstring. On the other hand, he did give an "evasive" answer when Schein asked him is the hammy was good to go for Week 1 -- he said something like "We'll have to see, we won't know until that day comes and I start running around at full tilt". In hindsight, it sounded like things were not all "clear" on the hammy front. I would have expected him to say "he was fine" if the original injury was "on track".

thanks. he didn't seem too exhuberant yesterday in the interview. maybe now we know why.
