Steve Smith Projections for this week..... (1 Viewer)

I won't reveal what FBGs have Steve in for this week, but it's not much. I was hoping to get a consensus on what people think Smith will do this week IF he plays.

If he's fully health, I expect typical Smith numbers, probably a TD and 100+ yards. The Carolina offense is lost without Smith, so I can't see them not going to Smith if he's healthy.

I don't think he'd play if he was just being used as a decoy, so I'd expect typical Steve Smith numbers tomorrow.

Steve has said numerous times that he refuses to return unless he is 100% healthy and that he must look out for himself with this injury. So I do believe he is very close to being 100%. That being said, he also stated that it will take a little time to get over the mental aspect of getting over a bad hamstring injury. I wonder how many deep routes Steve will be sent on where he will have to test his hammy to the max? Subsequently I think it's unlikely he will put up one his silly 100+ yardage games.

I agree if He is GTG and I think he is I expect around a 100 yards and a TD to boot. I am trying to low ball a trade for him right now with the expectation that he is going to be money for the rest of the season. Play him with no worries if he is GTG.

It only takes one big play to turn a 30-40 yard mediocre game into a 100+ yard huge game. I think 100+ yards is definetely possible, if he is healthy, which I think he is.

According to the newsblogger, he'll be going up against Boldin, the nickel cornerback since Brian Kelly is hurt.... that should get him some good numbers, especially in PPR leagues... They will probably use Drew on the deep routes.

OK, assuming his hammy is 100% (which is a big assumption), isn't conditioning going to be a huge issue here? There's no way this guy can be in football shape given all the time he's missed pre and reg season. That's not to say he can't make big plays, but could he really roll out there tomorrow and play like Steve Smith for 4 quarters? I'm just askin'...I'd love to get him in my lineup.

Good point. I can't see how Steve plays as many snaps as he otherwise would.
