Steve Smith (1 Viewer)

I got him a few weeks ago after the Baltimore game when he went for 189 yards and a touch. I traded Rudi Johnson for the rights to Mr. Smiff.

Redraft league, this one just went down (Tundras still has Colston so he could afford to deal two top 10 WRs):

Tundras Trade WR S. Smith Bryce's Boys Tue 11/14 9:33p ET

Tundras Trade RB J. Jones Bryce's Boys Tue 11/14 9:33p ET

Tundras Trade RB M. Barber Bryce's Boys Tue 11/14 9:33p ET

Tundras Trade QB D. Brees Bryce's Boys Tue 11/14 9:33p ET

Bryce's Boys Trade WR D. Jackson Tundras Tue 11/14 9:33p ET

Bryce's Boys Trade WR D. Driver Tundras Tue 11/14 9:33p ET

Bryce's Boys Trade RB R. Johnson Tundras Tue 11/14 9:33p ET

Bryce's Boys Trade QB J. Delhomme Tundras Tue 11/14 9:33p ET

in the week leading up to CAR's bye, i traded:

peyton, tj housh, norwood (to the dunn owner)

for

vick, smith, ronnie brown

basically, peyton and housh for vick, smith, brown, as i didn't need norwood (had decent rb depth in deuce, jordan, maroney, MBIII).

i think to get smith at this point it takes a peyton/steven jackson-type player (at the least) to be involved as the main guy, if you're looking for a RB/QB upgrade....or, use smith's big game this mondy and make a run at LT, if you have a rb to package and can get back a decent wr...

In a PPR dynasty league, I had an owner tell me he would give me Julius Jones and "I’d be willing to throw something else in to even it out" for Smith.

I'm in a dynasty league and I traded Maroney, Berrian, Minnesota's D, and a 2008 1st Round Draft Pick (which will range from a 8-12 pick) for S.Smith, C. Cooley, and Broncos D. I made the trade to push for the playoffs. My team is now

Bulger

Romo

Deuce

Westbrook

T. Jones

B. Jacobs

C. Dillon

A. Boldin

S. Smith

L. Coles

M. Colston

T. Heap

C. Cooley

NYG D

Broncos D

I traded Smith and Maroney and received Addai and Roy Williams.

While I think Maroney is the better RB, I like Addai's situation more. It was tough to give up Steve Smith, but that's what it took to get Addai, who I've been targeting all season.

I was also able to acquire Maroney in another league which made the decision to do this Steve Smith trade somewhat easier.

I traded:

Smith and Winslow

for

Housh, Cooley, and S. Alexander

The way I see it, the only way to keep up with the LT owner is to have Alexander and have him put together a couple multiple-TD games with those fresh legs of his.

Yesterday, in a PPR league, I was offered Steve Smith, Lee Evans, and Braylon E for Driver, Mo Morris, and Ladell Betts....

The other owner was HURTING for RB's and has to win out his three final games for a chance to make the playoffs.

Please say you took that trade.

I offered Boldin + L. Coles + L. Evans for S. Smith for a guy who was lacking a lot at the WR slot beyond Smith. He rejected, though (probably a wise move for him, too). I also tried Willie Parker + R. Brown, but he didn't want that either.

I am thinking about offering the following trade to the Guy who has Smith, but also has Portis:

I get: Steve Smith

I give him: Troy Williamson and DeShaun Foster.

I also have LT, kevin Jones and Frank Gore on my team, but my top WR is Javon Walker... also have Glenn, Wes Welker (who does great for me because we get individual return yards), Braylon Edwards, Coles and Cotchery.

What do you think? Smart or Stupid.....

Stupid for him.

agreed. he'll never bite on that. you do know that williamson sucks like a hoover, don't you?

Well, it would be an opening "salvo"...could go Edwards or Cotchery
he'd still never bite. not in 100 years. arent you reading what else Smith has gone for recently in this thread? fast willie straight up, and the like? would you trade fast willie for edwards and deshaun? of course not. we're talking top 10 overall player value here. bits and pieces aren't going to get it done....

I got Larry Fitz and L. Coles on the table for Smith and Mason. Hines Ward is my other WR w/ Tiki, Fred Taylor, Alae, Bulger, Jags DEF and Vander###### as my team for the stretch run...should I pull the trigger?

at 4-5, I was in a bind before last weeks games and thought that I had to get some consistancy at WR, so I made the following trade:

I gave up

Chad Johnson (wasnt consistant up to this point)

Brandon Jacobs (2 player keeper league) I still haver Addai

Ben Roethlisberger (my backup to McNabb)

for

Steve Smith

Jake Plummer

Correll Buckhalter

Although I lost CJ's HUGE game, Steve Smith still came though to pull it out for me on Monday night.

I could get Smith from a QB starved team for Palmer and Driver. It would leave me with Vick down the stretch, so I'm not sure I will do it.

have to wonder what this guys numbers would like if he played the full season- Consider he misses the fist two and is only 70% (according to him) for the second 2, he's basically at the top of every receiving category. I cant believe anyone would trade him.

He was throwing up between downs during MNF and still posted sick stats.

steve young said best on post game- 'this guy is uncoverable'

He is the 6th best wr by week 10stats..have him in 3 of my leagues..not tradeable in any of them due to my roster's happy with all!

Remember he miss week 1 and 2..or would be the #1 wide out again (so far)! :bye:
