I am sure everyone saw the Nike commercial with Merriman and Jackson at least eight times Sunday. Well...where was the Jackson in that commercial? I am sure he let down alot of his owners (myself included).

I enjoy reading everyone's opinions on this board but had yet to see a Steven Jackson thread.

Orlando Pace is out for the year (no Todd Struessie to plug into the left tackle spot)...how bad will this hurt Jackson's projections for this year? Will Brian Leonard cut into his time? Did the lack of preseason playing time hurt him?

I see him with much better games than the one he had on Sunday...but I have lowered my expectations for him.

Ummm... you realize that that commercial was computer generated, right? There was no real play where Steven Jackson ran 300 yards through 4 defenses and still managed to score a TD at the end of the play, right? That Steven Jackson does not exist. He's a mythical construct created by a marketing firm to sell a product. Real-World SJax actually has some plays that don't make highlight reels. Given a small enough sample size, there's even a chance that he strings together several of those plays, sometimes even resulting in... *gasp*... a bad day.Glad I could help.

I'm shopping around Steven Jackson and Lee Evans in my money league. Hopefully, my trade offer of Jackson and Evans for Antwan Randel El and Derrick Ward gets accepted.

Pace out isn't going to help but relax...its only one game. As a matter of fact, Jackson had his worst fantasy game of 06 against the Carolina Panthers.
