Still alive in your local Suicide Pool? (1 Viewer)

What do you guys think about taking the Jags?Pittsburgh will be on a short week, and they are totally beat up with injuries. Pitt will be a one-trick pony with no run game. They were lucky to beat the Ravens at home. Now, you could say that JAX was lucky to beat Houston at home, but you could also make the case that they might have been looking ahead to the Steelers game (even though Houston traditionally gives them fits). I can't see Jacksonville dropping to 2-3 at home.
I do like the Jags on the same reasoning as you mentioned. PIT got really beat up, and should feel lucky to have pulled the win last week. I can see a down game for them. Of course Bloom's post is expecting good things for the PIT passing game. Even though JAC does not have much of a pass rush, the PIT O-line is so bad I can see them coming alive. And Ben is not 100%, not practicing and now listed as questionable. How great would it be to see Leftwich come in and face his former team?

I want to go on record with my picks.... (two entries in the same pool, as I mentioned).

Took the easy way out with one of them by taking Dallas, and took Carolina with the other pick.

I'll still be able to use Dallas in week 7 @ St. Louis with the entry where I took Carolina this week.

I changed my mind from my previous posts in this thread. I went with DAL due to the wide difference in spread with CAR. I still think CAR is a great play though.

Ended up taking Dallas in Week 5 and got ousted by the Skins chokejob last week. Gah....would've advanced w/ the Giants this week too.

Hard to believe anyone actually took Brad Johnson on the road in a suicide pool.

I am one of 977 still alive from a pool of about 8000 for $25,000. Given the fact that there are so many entrants, it seems possible we'll play into week 18, when only 8 teams are playing, so I'm trying to keep as many low end playoff teams available as possible, as well as one stud I can pick beyond week 18. Here are my picks so far:

Week 7: Houston

Week 6: Minnesota

Week 5: Carolina

Week 4: New Orleans

Week 3: New York Giants

Week 2: Arizona

Week 1: Pittsburgh
