DeepF******Value still holding 50000 shares worth 16.25 million, 500 April $12 calls worth 16 million, and 13.8 million in cash. $46 million total in his etrade account, started at 53k.

Edit: lost 14.8 million yesterday, made back 12.8 million today.
No way I would hold over the weekend.

Rough week for the broader market, and the bulk of my retirement accounts.  Flip side is my $812 401k contribution bought a little more than it would have last Friday.

so i'm a rookie schmuck, and I'm assuming I cant get in on the SFIO now b/c markets are closed.

So whats next? Wait till monday AM? Can I put in some sort of claim to auto-buy on Monday?

I am amazed that no politiican is calling out the practices of the SEC and FINRA how they are blatantly restricting the access Retail Investors access to buy securites while hedge funds have free reign.  This is a crime happening in front of our eyes.

Dabbled in some SPACs today. Picked up a fair amount of FUSE, which is said to be targeting a fintech company (some rumblings about MoneyLion, nothing confirmed). Good management team including Jim Ross, who founded the SPY ETF.

I also bought a few pre-unit split SPACs in the renewable energy / sustainability sector. Picked up VTIQU and NGABU, which have been mentioned in here before. The other one was LEGOU — the management team for this one honestly doesn’t seem very good, but at $10.30 there’s not much downside. Each LEGO unit also gets you a whole warrant instead of the typical 1/5 - 1/2. I’ll probably add a few more names next week. Like others in here, I’m trying to hold a bunch of these in hopes of hitting a HR somewhere.

Trying to think of what my reaction would have been if you told me this time last week I’d be holding hundreds of shares of AMC over the weekend due to a rally from a website I’m too old to even bother to figure out how to visit.
Let's be real.  You would have said "eh, sounds like something I would do".

You own how many shares of CYDY again?

Question from a newb. How do you find out this info?

I could sell you some of mine. I'm pretty sure they'll be worth $2 each, but I'll let you steal some from me for half of that.

Post of the year so far!!!

I also bought a few pre-unit split SPACs in the renewable energy / sustainability sector. Picked up VTIQU and NGABU, which have been mentioned in here before. I am also in VTIQU and NGABU (the only one I'm negative in right now, -3%).  I had actually flagged LEOGU but didn't jump in, I think I'll tail you on that one with half a position.

I also added CLIM.U yesterday at $11.07 after initially resisting.  Their first SPAC announced a merger with EVgo and is trading over $20 now.

We missed another this week with ALUS which announced a merger with a battery cells company today.  It jumped 13.5% today and is up another 8%+ in AH.  They filed back in November of 2019, so were never on my radar.  I really need to go back for two years and at least scan for obvious ones like Alusa Energy Acquisition Corp to investigate further.

They have played this runup perfectly and paid down warrants to stave off bankruptcy. With vaccines rolling out in large numbers, they should emerge as the giant theater chain with cash on hand to buy all the others that did not get this bump. Medium term, I definitely like this stock. As much as the home movie experience is awesome these days, people like to go to the movies. And no one will support a plan in the short term to buy Milan for your TV for $40. Eff that. I want the reclining chairs and the THX sound system and crappy popcorn.
wait - talking about fundamentals of an actual business is not allowed here Dodds

I’ve found that spactrack.net is a useful resource for this, it has a pretty exhaustive list of SPACs categorized by sector, status, trust value, etc. I really focused on the sustainability category yesterday and tried to pick some names that were pre-unit split. Obviously this isn’t a foolproof way of getting in on all the EV/renewables SPACs — still would’ve missed out on the “real estate” SPAC that just acquired an EV company — but I’m hoping to land a few good ones this way.

I was under the impression that snacking on fried chicken tenderloins made your stocks go up. Also to add, trading in your robe or undies with greasy tendie fingers would help create a moonshot.
I first started hearing it this week and didn't know wtf it meant.

woke

Sold 1/4 at open and then another 1/4 mid-day to lock in 2x on GME. I was afraid the MM would change the rules again with a weekend to plan. Cubic zircona hands from here on out.

Couldn't but SFIO through Vanguard. My break was finishing up so didn't have time to call in. Good luck to all.

Also sold SI for 50% profit to buy BB. Kinda regretting that now, but hopefully after GME, BB gets pumped.

Fun week overall.

I’m out of the reddit revolution for now up $1500, mostly on NAKD. This was just a small set of trades in my play account, and I’m not so nimble as a lot of you here. But that’s a big percentage jump over 4 days in my little account. Thanks to everyone in the thread for the up to the minute info and opinions. It’s a crazy story and it has been fun to run through it with this group.

You know......AMC might not be a bad long play.  GME is obviously a dinosaur like Bockbuster now that most people just download the games.  But I'm not sure AMC cant recover from all this.  I'd go to a movie tomorrow if they were open and there were movies to see. They are cashing in on the inflated price the best they can building capital. I think there may be technologies and innovations they can do to restart a public gather place after the covid that we are all starving for.

I think I might double up on AMC and if it doesnt balloon to an attractive price now I will just let it sit for a few years.  Anybody familiar with how they were fairing before covid hit that wants to talk some sense into me?
