Stock Thread (11 Viewers)

Order I mentioned yesterday at 4.9 never filled, thought I could get it this morning on panicked idiots who don’t understand timelines, got close, but not there.

All of us are optimistic about leronlimab's ability to combat Covid.  Why is it such a stretch to believe that Fauci, Gates, etc. are also excited about leronlimab's potential?  When they are discussing monoclonal antibodies, I believe that leronlimab is one of mabs that they are talking about.  We might even be the top of the list.

I wonder, with the chatter about monoclonal antibodies and the interviews going on next week, if Dr P's paper is ready to publish?

For me that gets into the realm of being whimsical almost. Like this is going to be the drug that trump ends up touting to solve Corona? It’s certainly possible — something will be the answer —  but for me I’m trying not to expect that out of my investment. I’ll take a double or triple and be satisfied.

In other words I have had an extreme amount of fortune in my life, but buying a stock around 4- that goes to 80 is asking for a bit much.

So you're expecting failure and looking to double or triple your money?

Because of that ends up being true This is going from $5 to $75 and I’m seldom that lucky.

Where did you get failure out of that? Big difference between it getting to 8-10 bucks and being the end all cure that Fauci and trump are touting.
It's possible that it will only have marginal benefit for Covid.  That is leronabfabmab's floor in my opinion.  It might also be a homerun.  I wouldn't be invested in a sketchy stock if I didn't believe it had serious homerun potential.

If you’re smart (which NP doesn’t strike me as) and you’re sitting on good data, you should want to trap as many shorts as possible.

Once the total short volume has gone up nicely, you’ve got them trapped, you drop the bomb on them, and it is a squeeze of epic proportions.

Actually if your smart you should be running the company and not worrying about the market.  A will take care of B.

Why would he care about trapping shorts

The only place I think this may not make sense is that for the company to be successful, they need cash and ability to raise funds.  There's nowhere better for that than on an exchange.  To get to an exchange, you have to have a certain stock price, volume, financials.  NP likely was taking the "promotion" route to try to raise the profile of the stock in order to be able to list, in order to have access to more capital to fund more trials to expand offerings and possibilities for success.

So it could be argued that part of running the company successfully, if part of that success hinges on getting listed, would be to increase visibility and excitement about the company sufficient to get it listed, which seems to have happened through his efforts in part, but also through the efforts of doctors speaking on behalf of the drug and in favorable terms about the results.  He probably sees an opportunity with Covid to get access to greater capital markets and has been flooring it in terms of taking advantage of the opportunity.  Obviously, if the results fall flat the stock nosedives and he's back to where he was early 2020, but it was a good shot for the company.

Hard to begrudge him too much of the PR bit as at this point, getting uplisted dramatically opens opportunities for the company to expand trials, research, options.

I think it has serious potential to make me money. Skyrocketing to 60-70 a share is unrealistic to me but we’ll see.

My expectations were basically silence until the end of next week/weekend after Monday’s call...

Am I on an island with those thoughts?
No. I wasn’t expecting real news. Now a conference call stating current status that they didn’t have results yet so that shorts could say they are not releasing because it’s all bad, that I would have expected. Pure silence and letting the results speak without 3 conference calls in between would be unexpected.

Nader's timelines are never accurate.  He has always been late.  But right now, things are in the hands of hospitals and scientists.  I'm working on the assumption that unblinding could come ahead or behind the given timeline.

This is kind of where I was. Really, I figured one press release about unblinding the data, then another dropping the results a week later.

@Whyatt made it sound like good news could come rapidly after unblinding.  Bad or mediocre news will take longer to be made public.  It's going to make it difficult to hold the stock if we are still in the dark about results a week after unblinding.
