And it won't even be close.

Peterson will run all day, the Viking D-Line will murder Rodgers.

Vikings roll 37-13

BOOK IT.

Is this one of those threads where a Packers fan posting this so that we can all come here and say he's wrong? Yet his team still wins and he doesn't care?

Sweet thanks! I'm doubling my usual bet and putting it on the Pack as I type this! I LOVE the shark pool stone cold locks!

the vikings are going to be at bare minimum a 4.5 point favorite. I dont know if a stone cold lock is that brave of a statement when you are picking the favorite.

With that being said the Packers still are struggling to block and the vikings have an ok pass rush. This could be a long game.

I really thought the Packers offense was going to be explosive this season. I have been surprised at their lack of production. I watch most of their plays on the Ticket, saying "the Packers still are struggling to block" is putting it mildly. Rodgers is getting abused.

The fact is, is that the Vikings can't and won't lose this game.

This is a lock.

Back up the truck, you will make boatloads if you bet on Minnesota this week.

BOOK IT

Pulling the old "reverse jinx" and even throwin in "LOCK".........NICE! Now, if you would have added the ol "back up the truck".......the Packer victory would have been solidified.

I like GB in this spot. Minni was beat last week, GB getting better. GB knows Favre's tendancies....and I get 3.5 points? I'll take it.

The Packers OL has made Ogunleye, Odom and Little (three pedestrians) look like All-Pro HOF locks the past three weeks. Its going to get very ugly very early in the dome. I am AMAZED the line is only 3.5. Vikings should be favored by at least 15. I will finally be able to afford that new roof my house desperately needs after taking my bookie for all he's worth on Monday night.

Agreed....just laid down 4 units on this. Ridiculous line, if Favre keeps the picks down this should be a lock.

Actually - I think to completely make the reverse jinx work - you're going to need to add in something along the lines of "Green Bay will rue the day it ever let the Chosen One Brett Favre walk out the door."Unrelated to the jinx - I think from a press perspective - they want Favre and Minnesota to win this one. Not only does it make the Favre vs. the Packers fire glow just a little brighter for the rest of the year - but it will ratchet up the hatred just a little bit more for the week 8 game when Favre returns to Lambeau. The only thing that is too bad is that the re-match is in Week 8 rather than Week 15-17. Seems like for this kind of grudge match - it needed to be frigid conditions and with the playoffs on the line. This Monday Night game is the first NFL game I can think of that has a little bit of a World Wrestling Federation match feel to it.

i'm a wisconsinite... grew up a packer fan... but ive become more of an NFL fan these days, just love watching football (might have something to do with the fantasy football obsession as well, too many times cheering for someone from the other team lol), but i still cheer for the pack every week.

i've drafted the Vikings D in a couple of leagues this year... and i really don't think i can start them this week. i'm actually thinking the pack have a shot at the upset. we'll see....

I am a Packer fan that hopes Favre leaves on a stretcher and Tavaris starts the rest of the season.
There we go. Although I have to say that if this happens, they might need to send in the National Guard to get the Packers team bus out of Metrodome...particularly if it was a cheap-shot or late hit.As for the game, we all know it's going to come down to 1-2 drives in the fourth quarter and the officials. A yellow hankie here, a sack there, and the game will be decided. The all-time series is 49-45-1, Packers. Other than a 34-0 blow-out of the Vikings in November 2007, neither team has beaten the other by more than a touchdown since December 2001. Long story short: Expect a nail-biter on both sides...with the refs and a play or two in the fourth quarter deciding it. That's about the only stone-cold lock I can envision for Monday night.

With Capers comming in and switching the D up for the Packers, I dont see Favre having a big advantage their. However, will Favre be able to help the Vikings defense out alot? Do you think Favre has played the Vikings enough as a Packer to know what the Packer's offenses will gameplan and what their tendancies will be?

Wow, between this and the guy who laughed at the college player who had the weights land on him, im looking for a ignore option. Anyone know if its possible to ignore post by specific members on this board?Horrible thing to say bonesman, has him leaving not opened the door for Rodgers, who looks to be a promising QB? I'd be careful what you wish for. Jared Allen plays pretty mad, if there is a cheapshot on Favre that takes him out, I wouldn't be suprised to see Allen feed Rodgers his own legs.ETA: Found ignore option

Perhaps one of the Minnesota O-linemen are friends with Kampman and they'll lay down for him like Favre laid down for Strahan to get the single season sack record.

As a Packers fan, I am concerned about:

(a) the ability to stop rushes for big gains

(b) the poor perormance of the O-Line to either pass protect or produce decent gaps in between the tackles

I am optimistic about:

(a) the ability of the new defense to generate turnovers.

I am scared enough of Chester taylor right now that ADP has the poop oozing from my behind...

But I think Favre plays it totally safe again like first 2 games. Packers are not able right now to make MN one-dimensional like SF did.

The 35k contest aside, I need MINN to trample the GB defense and Rodgers to throw Driver about 4 long TDs.

I don't think that is asking for much.

Thanks to the Subscriber Contest, while most people will be watching to see Favre and Rodgers and maybe Peterson - I will be focused on Ryan Grant and Packers D! Come on Brett - throw a few up for grabs for ole' times sake!

I really hope more people don't think this way.
I know tons of packer fans who are thinking this way today. Does not surprise me though. Bear fans know for years how utterly classless packer fans are....remember many of them still think the late hit/cheap shot to McMahon was justified. What can you expect from in-bred hicks anyways, and most of the packer fans are that?

Aren't you supposed to be in school? Or do they let you teeny-boppers use the computer at lunch now?Oh and you should know about classless, most Bear fans wrote the book on it as evidenced by your post here.

You judging anyone being classy is freaking laughable.

Sportsbook.com is now up to Packers +5 - looks like the public agrees with Mr. Pack on this one.

I don't think there is any way either team scores 37 tonight. I would think there will be a lot of running the ball, and both defenses are above average. The crowd will be a huge factor, Viking 'D' will be extra fired up... Vikings 24-16
