We have a 30-team league which consists of 3 10-team divisions doing 3 separate drafts. Two of the drafts are slow drafts that take place over the course of two weeks and one of the drafts is a live draft online. The playoffs will consist of teams from all 3 divisions going head to head (so teams will play teams from other divisions in the playoffs).
What is the fairest timing to not disadvantage either the slow drafters or the live drafters in the setup? Basically, should we time the live draft to be near the start of the slow draft, near the end, near the middle? Does it matter?
Is there a better way to do this in general? The issue (probably obviously) is that most people are not available for a live draft but some people prefer a live draft significantly over a slow draft -- so we came up with this mixed approach.
