Strategy for a Keeper league that changed (1 Viewer)

The leagues I have always played in have been RB heavy, hence I have always kept RBs. However, my league recently voted to add 0.5 PPR. I know Bloom and others have pimped taking WRs early in PPR leagues and picking up RBs in the 4th and 5th rounds. But I am having problems not keeping two RBs. So what is the better strategy in a keep 4, start 3 WR, 0.5 PPR - keep the RBs or WRs?

I don't want this to turn into a WDIS question, so no one has to comment on my specific roster. But to give everyone an idea, I will keep MJD, Fitz, and Calvin Johnson. I am struggling whether to keep LT or do some trading to try to land a 3rd WR like Steve Smith, Wayne, etc. Is it better in PPR to have 3 great receivers/ 1 RB or 2 of each?

In my 12 Team 3 Player Keeper league, we use 0.5 ppr RB/WR and 1.0 ppr TE.

Most teams hold 2 RB 1 WR. Some hold 1QB, 1 RB, 1 WR.

My preference would be 2 Stud WR and 1 RB.

We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex (RB/WR/TE)

However, each of the last 4 Champions have had above par WR group. Their RB's were marginal.

Examples:

2008 RB: B Jacobs, Willie Parker WR: Calvin, Wes Welker, Brandon Marshall, S Moss

2007 RB: R Bush, F Taylor WR: Colston, Bowe, Wayne, Breaston, Holmes

Leads more to the WR value every season to me!!

Thanks, part of me thinks the team would be overall stronger with a high quality 3rd WR than a high quality 2nd RB. Without looking, I am guessing the difference between say WR 12 and 36 is greater than RB 12 and 24, particularly with PPR.
