Strategy - limited waiver moves (1 Viewer)

My league is set up so that we can only pick up 2 players per year. We have an 18 man roster, and you do not have to drop a player to pick up another.

My question is about strategy with such a setup. How important do you think it is to save at least one of your moves for later in the year, or even for the playoffs? There are many good pickups early in the season, but there are always a few guys who break out at the end of the year for one reason or another.

Wondering if anyone out there has done this type of league before, have any insight?

I have already used my first move, and I am in a situation now where I think a pickup would help me over the next couple of weeks. However, my team is 3-1, and I am wondering if I should stash that last waiver move in case of emergency.

No I haven't nor would I. I am too much of a waiver wire addict. I would save one though if I were in your situation because of the possibility of injuries to starters. How deep is your roster?

We only start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR/TE, 1K, 1D

Depth is pretty good for most teams, mine included. I guess the biggest concern is losing a QB to injury. Most teams only have 2QB's.

Trading is always on option too.

If thats the concern do you have a decent Backup QB on your roster? If not that is probably the reason you don't use it. Or use it on a QB.

For myself, I am solid at QB. I have some WR problems with injuries and guys not performing. A wideout from waivers would help my team during bye weeks; but I will miss the chance for anyone else the rest of the year.

every year there is always that blockbuster waiver wire move that nets someone season changing results. Unless I was really hurting bad i would hold out for that.
