I get it, I understand the desire to play defenses week to week to maximize matchups and not kill a draft/roster spot. What i do not get is when I come into the shark pool the discussion is regarding Defenses for the current week. Isn't the shark move to have already figured out who you need for week 5 before week 4 free agency ends? In turn I would think the topic for the first day of week 5 is week 6 defenses. I never understood why someone who has Seattle D per se (week 4 bye), wouldn't take a SD defense week 3 BEFORE the bye week need!

you said it yourself. To not kill TWO roster spots.

I picked up Cleveland before this week in multiple leagues. They were available due to their bye week. Upcoming schedule is nice.

I think that's more along the lines of what we should be after. Not trying to either use a waiver claim, use FAAB, or hope nobody else uses a waiver/claim and we can win the FA race to get somebody like SD at the last minute last week.

But as you said, that requires killing two roster spots, so there were several leagues I just couldn't do that.

Sometimes you have to take the best available when free agency hits on Wed. But hey, Miami was available for some that way this week and it worked out nicely.

:lmao: What a fish. You're a sucker, kid. No, that's not how it works. You don't pick up a team one week ahead, because then you're gonna be outsmarted by a real shark who picks two weeks ahead. Not me, though. I'm an elite-upper-tier supershark, and I'm working four weeks ahead. Count 'em. One. Two. Three. Four. That's two weeks further ahead than the sharks and three weeks better than you. Nice try, though, rookie.

They're called sharks because if they stop moving, they'll die. Looking one week ahead and you might as well be standing still. You're chum. You're bait. You're the dead fish in the bucket and it's ####### feeding time.
No! No, no, not 4! I said 7. Nobody's comin' up with 4. Who works waivers out 4 weeks? You won't even get your heart goin, not even a mouse on a wheel.

7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office.
