The P-40 crashing in the flight line was an unplanned accident - it was a life-sized mockup powered by a gasoline engine turning the propeller and steered by using the wheel brakes, just like real airplanes, but was specifically designed not to fly. The aircraft shown was loaded with explosives which were to be detonated by radio control at a specific point down the runway. Stunt actors were strategically located and rehearsed in which way to run. However shortly after the plane began taxiing down the runway it did begin to lift off the ground and turn to the left. The left turn would have taken it into a group of other mockups which had also been wired with explosives, but weren't scheduled to be destroyed until later. The explosives in the first P-40 were detonated on the spot in order to keep it from destroying the other planes, so the explosion occurred in a location the stunt men weren't prepared for. When it looks like they were running for their lives, they really were. This special effect was filmed with multiple camera so that it could be reused in other shots in the film, as were all the major special effects.

Twelve and Holding

I've been periodically checking this thread and adding titles so I'm not sure if this is how it ended up in my queue but I went back a few pages and didn't see it mentioned. At any rate, I highly recommend this movie. It's a story about three adolescents coping with the death of their friend/sibling in their own separate ways. The acting was top notch as all the children put forth great performances, and if you've become a fan of Jeremy Renner's work recently as I have, he was once again fantastic. It's a pretty dark movie with a very intense ending, but there's brief bits of comedy mixed in and it's very well paced. I will say though that one scene in particular left me more uncomfortable than I can ever remember watching a movie, and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about if you watch it.

Fantastic. It was really slow at first (I'm a rasslin fan and know this story very well), but to see it unfold before your very eyes was tremendous. The last half hour is a wrestling fan's dream take on the Montreal screw job. Loved the clips of him at home with his family and "The Dungeon".Oh, and at Vince walking down the hall rubbery legged after Bret knocked him the #### out.Not that I didn't know this before, but Vince is a f'n ##########.Any wrestling fan would drool over this doc.

Valhalla - it was like an Igmar Bergman movie if you gave a talented but depressed, jr. high film student a few million bucks. Lead man NEVER speaks. Lots of portrait-framed scenes. Lots of looking into the abyss. Non-sensical story line and David Lynch "guy in red-face" jump-cuts. This movie just pissed me off.

Bronson - yet again, back-to-back! Another weird jump-cutting to weirdo Lynch-type scenes ...making no sense, not adding to the story line. Signed up for a movie about the UK's meanest prisoner ever. Got an hour and some odd minutes of pain. Jumps between watching a psychotic dude tell an unconnected story to an imaginary audience while he is half cross-dressed and then him insisting on stripping down completely nude prior to getting the living #### kicked out of him by the prison guards after he purposely begged to be beaten.

By the end of this movie I wanted to be beaten as well.

Caught the flick "Inside Deep Throat" last night. Interesting flick on the making of the movie and how it revolutionized the pron industry, and culture in general back in the 1970's. Never knew that Harry Reems was the cast as the original Coach Calhoun in Grease before the studio got cold feet and instead went with Sid Caeser instead. Actually suprised some of the scenes in the film were allowed, but it does carry an NC-17 rating...so

Watched this last night. I remember seeing most of the events in it as they played out on Raw, but I had no idea about the back story. I think it was equal parts of the Hart family taking wrestling a little too seriously and Vince being a huge d-nozzle.

I was just coming (no pun intended) in here to post this movie. It's pretty much pr0n. sort of. There are elements that ensure it goes beyond the lable of softcore, but it is nothing like hardcore.I actually prefer this type of 'steamy romance' to your average hardcore pr0n. What says they FFA? Would you support more movies like this, or would you rather stick with the standard meat tenderization.I'll tell you one thing, your wife, or girlfriend, or whatever will watch this with you and like it. That could be a win win. I am somewhat surprised this type of movie hasn't become more popular.
