I couldn't make it through the first episode.FreeBaGeL said:Watched the first episode of Kimmy Schmidt. I remember people mentioning that there was one really funny scene but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what that was. Didn't laugh once.
Same here, tried it out after reading about it in this thread, but just don't get the love.I couldn't make it through the first episode.FreeBaGeL said:Watched the first episode of Kimmy Schmidt. similarly, i watched only the first episode. it feels too similar to "30 Rock" in its rhythm, beats and voice that i don't need to see much more of it.I couldn't make it through the first episode.FreeBaGeL said:Watched the first episode of Kimmy Schmidt. I really liked it too!Bloodline is fantastic. You guys are high.
I would think that being high would make you like it more.Bloodline is fantastic. You guys are high.
Loved it. Incredible acting and atmosphere. The pace isn't for everyone. The flash forwards aren't for everyone. Honestly I wish this was a True Detective type of one-off, and that it had just ended, period. A little differently, of course. Wasn't a fan of the reveal at the end.I really liked it too!Bloodline is fantastic. You guys are high.![]()

NOT. This show's too serious to enjoy while high.I would think that being high would make you like it more.Bloodline is fantastic. You guys are high.
I would give it a shot. I've been hooked since the start. It's a slow burn but it's good.Sounds like I won't be giving Bloodlines a shot unless others come here saying they love it.

Excited for this. It's getting ridiculously good reviews.Daredevil on the 10th
Yeah, there's been enough positive reaction to give it a shot. I dropped streaming but will probably get it again in the summer.I would give it a shot. I've been hooked since the start. Agreed! Well written and such beautiful scenery. I was hooked from the get-go on this and binged on it for 2 days straight. I certainly hope it remains great for additional seasons for obvious reasons for those who have watched it. I am hesitant to give away spoilers, although the show pretty much does so early on with the flash forwards.jdoggydogg said:I really liked it too!Bloodline is fantastic. You guys are high.![]()

Highly, highly doubt it. Marvel's going a different way here, even though it's still the MCU. This is going to be really dark, violent, gritty. Kingpin is supposed to be a twisted *******, too.jdoggydogg said:Any idea if this will be appropriate for a 12 year old?Excited for this. It's getting ridiculously good reviews.Daredevil on the 10th
It may not live up to expectations, but can't wait for it and really glad they are back at it.David Cross and Bob Odenkirk HBO/EverettBob Odenkirk and David Cross, who created and starred in HBO's cult-favorite sketch-comedy series Mr. Show With Bob and David, have reunited for a new sketch series, simply titled With Bob and David. this was my problem with it. i couldn't take it. i like Gervais with a little bite to his storytelling.Gave up on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Ellie Kemper is awesome but I didn't care for any of the other characters.
Started watching Derek starring Ricky Gervais. I wasn't sure how to feel about it after the first episode. Gervais plays a 'simple-minded' guy and it wasn't completely clear at first if he was being serious or just poking fun. And one of the main co-stars is Gervais' buddy Karl Pilkington, who I couldn't take seriously either. But I'm now four episodes in and I'm hooked. It beats you over the head with the sentimentality at times but I really like the characters.
And fortunately, as a British series, it's two short seasons and a one-time special.

When the first episode ended I looked at my wife and said I wasn't sure if I liked that. She was out.jamny said:Made it half an episode of Derek and I love Gervais.
From what I heard, the main actor is a vegetarian. And he did the octopus scene in one take.STEADYMOBBIN 22 said:I started OldBoy (2003, not the Josh Brolin ver.), at 1:30 AM. I put it on with the intention of falling asleep. I didn't.
Pretty twisted story and worth the watch. I'm interested in the Brolin remake now that I've seen the original.

Agreed. "Unbearable Kimmy Schmidt" would have been a great title if Kemper wasn't so great.Gave up on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Ellie Kemper is awesome but I didn't care for any of the other characters.

Was wondering how this was. Has anyone else watched more than one episode?Watched the first episode of Daredevil. I like.
Love that movie. Just pitch perfect in every way. That list of the 23 best movies on Netflix you never heard of is money... just watched "In Bruges" and thought it was really good.
Derek is one of the few shows my wife and I watched together. We both really enjoyed it.When the first episode ended I looked at my wife and said I wasn't sure if I liked that. She was out.Made it half an episode of Derek and I love Gervais.
After watching the 2nd, I got hooked. Not sure why. Not arguing that the 2nd was that much better or different, but I was able to get more engaged in the show.
Sounds interesting and worth a try.Dunno if its been mentioned but the wife and I have been watching a Spanish series called Gran Hotel. It's in spanish with english subtitles. The best way I can describe it is that it's like Downton Abbey, but imagine if interesting things and plotlines actually occured on Downton Abbey.
It takes place in a Spanish resort hotel in the early 1900s and like Downton Abbey, the plot primarily involves the upper class hotel owners and the lower class hotel maids and waiters. It has everything from serial killers to people with secret identities to family betrayals, and an Hercules Poirot inspired investigator trying to figure it all out.
Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix and season 3 is available "elsewhere" to be added to netflix later this year. We're nearing the end of season 3 and the story is pretty epic.
Two episodes in and I really like it so far...and I'm not a big "super hero/comic" movie fan. Did collect comics for a couple of years growing up.Was wondering how this was. Has anyone else watched more than one episode?Watched the first episode of Daredevil. I like.
